Booked my car in at 1pm for what was promised as a “quick” diagnostic check on an amber engine light. Plan was to re book when fault (if there is one) is known. Expected maybe 30min wait but still waiting 1 hour later - so not quick at all. Might as well have booked it in and left the car with them for half a day and saved time and 2 trips into York. Very disappointing.

We recently bought a new Mazda MX5 from Burrows in York. The salesman was Mark Walker and he couldn't have been more helpful. He let us look at various cars and test test drive one without being overbearing. We bought the car at the price we wanted to pay and Mark processed the sale and explained everything. He kept us informed over the next few weeks regarding the sale and when we could collect the car. On the day we collected the car Mark completed the sale and even put some petrol in the car for us. I'm very fussy about my cars and I have to admit that the car was the cleanist and most detailed new car I have ever bought. I wouldn't hesitate in using Burrows again and would like to thank Mark again for his assistance in buying the car.

Great service from Burrows today. The pre service check in worked very well, and l received a friendly welcome on arrival. The car service was completed earlier than anticipated and the final cost was considerably less than the original estimate and my car was returned to me freshly washed. What's not to like?Very impressed, thanks to all concerned.

Was driving 120 miles to buy a used car from Burrows Mazda worth it?Absolutely yes, 100%.This is the first time I've bought a car from a main dealer, and our experience with Burrows couldn't have been better. Simon had this beautiful, immaculate 3 ready in the showroom for us when we arrived (having kept it for us until we could visit), and his professionalism and easy going nature made us feel we'd made the right choice from the minute we stepped into the showroom. There are so many details about the way were cared for during the day, I couldn't possibly list them all in a short review - suffice to say, that if truly helpful, expert and courteous service is important to you in car buying, this dealership delivers in spades. With a total lack of the usual dreaded pressure techniques. We even had a visit from the Business Manager to ensure we were happy with everything - thank you Stephen. Bear in mind we weren't buying a top of the range new car - but we sure felt like it, with the service we were given. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Burrows to anyone, however experienced you are at car buying. And our Mazda 3? - beautiful, stunning, flawless - really, we love it.
