Jim is a great tattooist and a greater man.He's super enthusiastic about what he does and Japanese culture in which he takes a lot of his inspiration.I got a large colour dragon from ankle to knee from him at The Circle about a year ago. Had a consultation beforehand and the tattoo itself took three sessions to complete. Jim was supportive throughout the whole process and great fun to talk to; especially for anyone with an interest in Japan. I definitely want to get another tattoo from him sometime soon.Also, pay him no mind when he starts complaining about all the tiny scales he has to tattoo, you can tell he secretly lives for it.

Jim was awesome. My husband and I were in London on vacation and wanted to get souvenir tattoos. Jim fit us in and was even able to update an older tattoo at the same appointment. The entire tattoo process was enjoyable and fun. Jim even gave some suggestions to make one of my tattoos and a little more unique and better than what I had originally planned.

I visited Jim when he came up to guest at Timeless Tattoo, Glasgow. I have followed Jim's work on Instagram for a number of years and I have admired his style for as long as I can remember. I have also enjoyed seeing the progression of his art over the years and so when the opportunity arose to have a permanent piece of his artwork on my skin, I was incredibly excited! The booking process was so simple and Jim was extremely accomodating to my circumstances if I needed to amend/change anything. At my appointment, Jim made me feel comfortable from the get go, right to the end of our session. Jim is extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable (not just about the subjects he tattoos but about tattooing in general.) You can tell Jim has a genuine passion for what he does and takes the utmost care to ensure he provides a quality work that is going to last. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for super vibrant, unique and high-quality tattoos!

Jim is a talented, conscientious and stylish tattoo artist. I've had two pieces by him and they are both excellent. His knowledge of Ukiyo-e and Japanese work is really vast and helps to push the work towards exciting results. A true contemporary blend of style, sensibility and approach.

I have had the pleasure of getting three colour custom design tattoos done by Jim, with the most recent one being in March 2023. Now that it has fully healed, I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Jim carries himself in a truly professional manner and his exceptional craftsmanship perfectly captures our collaborative creative vision. I actually got a tattoo that I loved here and while I think the artists are talented they are very limited to what they can do with dark skin.I’m leaving one star because when I had questions about how they handle darker skinned clients I felt like the woman at the front desk was being very dismissive and that she was trying to get me to leave as soon as possible. I believe this was because she was uncomfortable with being honest about the lack of dark skin clients they get.For that reason, feeling generally unwelcome, I give one star. If you’re a dark skin person it may be worth looking elsewhere for a tattoo.

I met Jim 12 Months ago but have long admired his work. The Koi he created are perfect not just in-terms of artistic talent but also placement. I love them so much I’ll be going back. Oh also. He’s a top man.

Got a super sweet tattoo from this legend!!! I was actually flying into London from the USA and was running a bit behind but made it. Better late than never and honestly Jim went above and beyond!!! Not only did he have the patience to wait on me but also came into the shop on a day that he normally doesn’t come into. The atmosphere of the shop was a 10/10 and getting tattooed by Jim was 10/10. One of the chillest dudes I’ve ever met. And the piece that I got from him, literally grime another universe. Thank again man, next time I’m in London I’m definitely getting another piece!!
