I’ve been a member for a while now and enjoyed every moment, members are more then happy to help with any problems or questions I have with regards to sailing, racing and boat maintenance; it is a very friendly club.

Great friendly club

Fantastic friendly club, and a great team of members who are always willing to support and offer advice. There is a great range of courses with really knowledgeable instructors and lot's of session designed to help you gain experience and confidence.

If you need excellent training and lots of help and advice this is the friendliest club to visit.The basic training follows the RYA guidelines but once you have finished the club will then offer you Lots more help, support and the use of club boats.

Started sailing with BSC in April this year with my son and we have had such a fantastic summer. The RYA Level 1 and 2 course was very good value for money and the knowledge that these people have and want to share is phenomenal. They were very, very patient with me, nothing was too much trouble, and it was a pleasure to see my son (age 10) be completely independent and sail around the reservoir with confidence, but under the watchful eyes of the safety boat crew. If you are looking for a new family past time, then this is the place to be. Carl even started a Saturday morning club so that we could continue to practice what we had learnt on the course. Made a lot of new friends and already looking forward to next year, when we will definitely be back on the water!

Great club, made better by even greater people always ready to help and impart sailing knowledge brilliant atmosphere.

Came on two super RYA courses and liked the friendly, welcoming, can-do atmosphere and great facilities so much we joined, despite it not being the closest club by a good distance.
