I have been living in sunderland for last two years , I don’t know how I missed this place . A olden days cafe . Busy place . Tasty food for less price . I had Scampi with chips and peas for 5£ and beef dinner for 5£ and they have everything for less price . Very very very good satisfied place . Loveeeee it

Breakfast great

Only place we do to to eat when visiting Sunderland. Food always piping hot and good value. Wish we had a cafe as good where we live.

Always a first class service, staff are friendly, food is great, prices are really good too. Well worth a visit

After a short wait I was served Mince & Dumplings with mashed potatoes, carrots, cabbage & gravy. with a mug of tea it was £5.30. Tasty, plentiful and good value. Shame Bristol Rovers later lost 3-0 to Sunderland!

Excellent home Cooked food, excellent price and value, nice friendly staff and good seating. Nipping clean too, always come here when at Sunderland

Me and two friends went to this place for a full English before the Sunderland AFC match as our usual place was shut we wish we didn't in the endFull English breakfast with no black pud, hash browns, fried slice or mushroomsFood was well below par it says something when the toast was the best part .Asked for a tea with the breakfast which I didn't receive.The beans tasted like chicken and veg soup which is strange. The clientel was lifting and the lass and lad behind the counter were doing a frisbee championship with our plates. The grub come out of a big couldron and I'd rather lick the walls of Chernobyl then eat here again.Furthermore, I would like to address the attitude of the staff. Upon ordering I didn't receive a smile or thank you and the way she plated the beans on the plate was ghastly. The service was admitly quick but this was because everything was pre cooked.Finally I would like the address the decor of the cafe which resembled something of 1945 Berlin after the Russians bombed it. Cheap yellow paint and posters from the 60s littered the walls and the cutlery looked like it was out me nans gaff.
