Wonderful service in helping with the sale of a family property. We were always updated when there was any progress. The sale went through seamlessly, and without any stress whatsoever. Highly recommended.

PLEASE AVOID. Horrible service. Little to no response from Holly (solicitor) after repeated attempts to contact her for updates. Communication couldnt have been worse. Unprofessional and non-responsive. 2 things you dont want in your solicitors. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Ive attached one example of emails not being answered for a week at a crucial time during the purchase.

Extremely helpful used this solicitors on a few occasions over the years also recommended to family who have been happy with their services too !

Jennifer P was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful with the way she dealt with us. She practically threw paperwork at us and said ‘you have it now haven’t ya’ as if I’ve just made her chop the wood to make the paper it was written on. I had genuine questions but was made to feel like I shouldn’t even be here. Genuinely SHOCKED at how UNPROFESSIONAL & INEPT this ‘company’ is. Stuck up, unhelpful and unprofessional horrible excuse for a woman.

I do not recommend this branch despite having good overall ratings. I messaged this branch back in 2020 asking for their help as I needed help with housing issue and I discovered that this place supposed to help with housing problems. Emailed them and never received any email despite also phoning them and leaving a message till today's date two years ago.

Having used Alfred Newton Solicitors for quite a number of years over several cases i have always found that they are respectful polite and most importantly they are professional.when i first started to use Alfred Newton Solicitors I had a solicitor by the name of Jennifer Penman and when i say that she is great i mean just that she listened to all my problems and concerns and help sort them out straight away however that was then and this is now and this time around i really must say that the beginning of my case was going great until my solicitor had to go and change firms back in december now we are in may and since my old solicitor moved on i have had no correspondence with anyone from the firm i had phoned and spoke to the lovely receptionist about 2 months ago and was told that someone would get back to me BUT GUESS WHAT THEY DIDN'T now today i have phoned and up to yet no one has phoned me back now given the urgency of my case im some wat dissatisfied with how my case has been handled and how my case was just passed to someone who had no knowledge of my case as a result i have missed several court dates which dose not look good on my part...I MUST STRESS THIS VERY STRONGLY THE RECEPTIONIST IS A LOVELY LADY AND ALWAYS MAKES ANYONE FEEL WELCOME.THE STAFF HOWEVER THAT'S DIFFERENT OUT OF THE PEOPLE I HAVE MET I CAN ONLY COMMENT ON THEM AND FROM WAT INTERACTION I HAVE HAD WITH THEM IS WEAR I BASED MY OPINION FROM.IN MY OPINION THE BEST SOLICITORS THAT WAS THERE WAS VUD JENNIFER PENMAN AND HER LEGAL SECRETARY AND OF COURSE WE CAN'T FORGET BARBERA THE LOVELY RECEPTIONIST

We’ve used this firm for 3 house purchases, with each one they have gone the extra mile to make sure this was as stress free as possible. They kept in regular contact, would always remain proactive to keep things moving for us and we’re always extremely thorough in their work. We have recommended to lots of friends who have also been really impressed and won’t now use anyone else.Highly recommend, thank you all!
