Avalon Marshes Centre
Lots of outdoor seating here, lots under cover but not so much indoor for when its cold. But this is a great little cafe with a good range of hot and cold food and big choice of cakes. Next door is a wonderful craft centre with everything from terrific photography for sale to glassware. The centre itself is right on lots of footpath and cycle paths that go all over the Somerset Levels. Definitely worth seeking out.

Avalon Marshes Centre
Avalon marshes is really lovely, lots of walking and although there were quite a number of cars parked at the visitor centre we hardly saw anyone when walking through the marshes. Quite a number of birds to see and lovely pools and river. The visitor centre is an absolute delight with local crafts of very good quality. Pleasant tea rooms and clean loos. Definitely worth visiting

We walked along the Sweet trail, then had tea and cake in the visitor centre garden. Beautiful place to walk.

Avalon Marshes Centre
Nice craft centre and cafe with large range of food and cakes but outdoor only seating (some covered but still outside). Not much as far as visit info goes, but plenty of parking and toilets before you explore the reserves.

Avalon Marshes Centre
This is a great place to visit for an hour or so. Very interesting and impressive buildings. Great for kids to play while the adults look around.

Avalon Marshes Centre
We did an early morning Dawn Chorus walk at the nearby RSPB Ham Wall centre, which was very interesting. We came here for an excellent breakfast, before heading off to the Sweet Track & the bird hide by the lake. A lovely setting.

History is brought to life through archaeological reconstructions of buildings from different time periods.What an experience!A must visit! Cheap tickets! Great family activity!
