Wonderful reserve with good birdwatching potential and fishing spots. A lack of funding and rangers means the paths can be a little tricky but only if you take the side paths, stick to the main paths and this is disabled friendly and a quite lovely place.

Such an oasis. Three large pools all teaming with wildlife. Not far from Russell Hall hospital. A few fishermen there. Kids playing. I’ve read good and bad things about here. I found it quiet and pleasant. A little urban paradise. Parking is limited at the lower pool so you may have to park on the road and walk in

Just had a walk down memory lane....My grandparents, grate auntie on nans side and grate uncle and aunt on grandads, all lived down Blewitt St. So I aways over middle pool, catching frogs/toads, the edge of the pool were black with tadpoles, watching my brother fishing, in the 1980s.There have been a lot of landscaping since I was last there, it looks now more loved and cared for.Lots of dog walkers, some people were fishing it was nice remembering.I'm a keen photographer so I have taken lots of photos.

The hidden Gem of the Black Country - walk all the way through the Pools and down to Wordsley, it's so beautiful and peaceful here, canals, pools, disused rail tracks, people are starting to discover this special area!

Good place to wander aimlessly for an hour, seemed to be frequented by nice friendly people who all respected its value and didn't fill it full of junk.
