Luton Airport DART station

Underwhelming first 'flight'. Long wait for train, non functioning doors in train and on platform, utterly confusing ticket barriers if leaving Luton station. Staff very patient but should it really take four taps of a card to travel 1.3 miles?

Just BAD! Who ever project managed this did no research! It doesn’t even take you into the terminal and at nearly £5 a ticket for a 2 minute transfer it’s unacceptable! 1 ticket machine broken, a huge queue of people trying to buy tickets in the pouring rain with no cover and not a sole to help the massive queue of people mostly tourists trying to get tickets. Interface of the machine is not straight forward to use - tourists couldn’t work it and neither could we! All in all I would AVOID this if you can!

Not enough escalators down to station when idiot people with luggage don’t use the lift, stopping other travelers with no luggage from getting the connection - this point 45 minutes onto my journey. Again from Luton, useless organisation and engineering!!

Very modern, clean, and a fast 4 minute link to/from Parkway Station to the Terminal. It is expensive at £4.90 each way, and online tickets should be purchased in advance or included in a train ticket. Apparently, that's £3.77 per mile! Bus pass holders travel for free.

Very expensive ticket for a service that should be free. You call it a train station while it’s just a shuttle to the Luton train station. Waste of public money on a huge ugly project which just look spacious with no time table or announcements even to say when the next Shuttle arrives.

Very clean, and fast service. Around 4-5 minutes, but, It is expensive at £4.90 each way. Easy access from the airport.

Very difficult to reach if trains are affected. Too much traffic at the entrance. Also since its not covered by zone fares it's a headache to buy tickets upfront.

So poorly organised!Lack of staff to assist in buying tickets.1 of the 2 machines was out of order.1 working machine didn’t seem to allow you to buy just the DART transfer to Luton Airport Parkway - confusing loads of people, British and foreign travellers AND NO STAFF willing or able to help you.This caused a large queue standing in the rain, as there are plenty of rain shelters but none covering the machines!Given all the money spent on it, the experience was frustrating and disappointing for us and lots of other travellers - not a great “welcome to the UK”Shame as the actual train and link to Luton Airport Parkway is useful.

A lot better than the bus. Got on the train at Luton Station and was at the airport at 6.25. Only gribe was had to print off my ticket rather than using the barcode scanner. With all the money spent you think this would be easier

It’s a 1 star service until they lower or remove the fee.It’s an embarrassment to the UK that you have to pay for this airport shuttle from the terminal to the train station.Travel to Asia, USA or other developed countries and they have these types of trains everywhere; they’re always clean, fast, efficient and free.If the operator has to charge a fee, then a nominal £1-£2 would be enough, but at £4.90 per person they are essentially robbing the public. Hard working families being taken advantage of, it should make us all so angry and boycott the service.You can almost see the owners sitting laughing at the general public using it as the money comes in. It doesn’t matter how much this cost to build, the £4.90 charge is outrageous!I used it once for the novelty but will use the shuttle bus in the future. The bus should also be free, but at least it’s cheaper and easy to catch.Send a message to the operator, boycott the service by using the shuttle bus!
