We had a lovely afternoon tea at Willows. The tea room is cosy, staff very friendly and attentive and the food was all delicious and home cooked. I was so busy chatting and eating I forgot to take photos! Will definitely be back.

This Castle is a marvellous example ofthe royal outposts around the country. It famously incarcerated Mary, Queen of Scots. The grounds are extensive and its one tome chapel has been uncovered by excavation. The corner tower is an inspiration as it looks down on the surrounding countryside. How ironic that from it one can look out on Nestle's factory.

Experience unfortunately ruined by the owner herself!Visited here a few times enjoyed the food, and the staff were very accommodating (with the resources they’ve been given), however it seems the owner does not have a maternal bone in her body. My 2 year old son spilt a drink on the tiled floor (not anything that could not be cleaned) when my mum asked for a cloth to mop it up, the staff were more than helpful, however their owner followed and not only publicly humiliated her staff, she then turned to patronise us about where we were sitting and ranted on about how much she’d spent on the cover on the sofa, to which we must have stated at least three times that it had not gone on the sofa but she still carried on, making the experience very awkward so we left very promptly. On reflection I’ve realised the place is not child friendly, only having one high chair on the premises and always seating people with children in the back corner of the place or in front of the toilet!

Came here for breakfast. Tea room was lovely, as was the food (which offered gluten free too) but the staff were a little distracted and 1 young man inperticular didn't seem to know what he was doing, so maybe needs a little more training.

I'm from Canada and was staying at Dovecliff Hall. Took a quick taxi into Tutbury where it was recommended to go to Willows for Afternoon Tea....did not disappoint!

Food excellent 1 waitress very rude. Took our order then went to another table took their order. There food came out first before us then brought mine out starter and main together. I said that will go cold.she said i should have said not together. Common sense comes to mind. Never have I ever been served that way any were else. Another lady said she should have asked you.

Poor customer service from 3 teenagers standing around who were rude when I tried to order food at the till. Place was empty (weekend visit) tables not cleared both in and out. We left without ordering and went to lovely bakery up the road
