E Mountain Bike hire was tremendous fun, bike was well maintained, safe and easy to use. The power assistance really opens up the Mendips to everyone regardless of levels of fitness or cycling ability. The guys at the store were super helpful and explained how to operate the bike in simple terms. Would definitely recommend hiring a bike from Cheddar Bikes.

Friendly informative staff, excellent service, accommodating changes to booking. E bikes great value, makes riding for virtual novices great fun and easy.Recommend Strawberry Line to Sandford + reservoir for leisurely ride out and back on full day. Excellent lunch and photo opportunities at Axbridge cafe/pub and Winsford The Pantry, and The Railway Inn at Sandford.If fancy a break during Axbridge, check out ‘trail/treasure hunt’ guide in church that gives walk and spot things in streets nearby, or rail buffs walk up to old station on hillside behind church (no access but main building intact). Sandford station has photo opportunities for all.

I took my bike to Cheddar Bike Shop as I needed the seat repaired. They gave the bike a look over as well as checking the seat and recommended a solution without any cost as well as offering a full post replacement. Very knowledgeable, very friendly and provided practical solutions that keep costs down. A great local business I would highly recommend.

Friendly and reliable ! James helped us fix our child’s punctured tyre and gave us lots of helpful tips as we were visiting the valley for the first time! The shop also keeps a cool selection of upcycled souvenirs for cycling enthusiasts !

Excellent customer service from this lovely bike hire company. Rode all the way from chedder to yatton and back again . The route is lovely, plenty to see and lots of history. My partner had a puncture just outside of axbridge. A phone call to Simon and in a flash he was there and changed his front tyre . Brilliant service. Would highly recommend and will be back when we are back at cheddar woods resort.

We found cheddar bikes online before our day trip to see this beautiful place. When we arrived we were greeted by a really friendly and helpful man who showed us some good routes to take. We had 2 e bikes which made our day even better as we ventured further than our physical fitness would normally allow. Cant recommended enough- we’ll be back soon !

I went to this bike shop first thing Saturday morning as was due to drive to Wales with my daughter. Her broken bike peddle was stuck on the bike and we couldn't get it off. The guy in the shop was amazing and within 5 minuets he had fixed it and put the new peddle on for us. I had one very happy 5 year old as we originally thought our day out was not going to happen. She even said that he was a legend! We will be back....Thanks so much.

Great bike hire for a young family. We had an 8, 7 and 4 year old. Called up before going to make sure all there and lots of nice advice. Local strawberry line is a great line for getting into biking like we were trying with the kids and pretty close by but nice the shop is in Cheddar itself so we could walk for an ice cream at the bottom or cheddar gorge at the end. Nice guys there too.
