Hockey Club | Woking Hockey Club | England | A friendly, inclusive club, offering hockey for all, we welcome everyone from aspiring internationals to social players or those who are new to the game. Woking is one of the largest hockey clubs in the country with nine men’s teams, six ladies teams, a mixed side, youth teams and Back to Hockey.

My daughter joined recently and was immediately made to feel welcome and wanted. She was apprehensive as may be expected but was given the necessary encouragement (a little push) to get stuck in and quickly expanded her comfort zone. The coaching is sufficiently demanding whilst being respectful as one would wish of a club where membership is voluntary and motivation depends on a good balance between friendliness and professionalism. As a parent, I also feel welcome.

Both my wife and my son play there. Lots of astro pitches. Free parking a short walk away. One of the best clubs around. 1st team players regularly help coach the younguns.

Parking was not easy to find as Sat Nov took us to a road junction with a footpath that leads to the hockey pitches. On road parking nearby though so not too much of a problem. Good grounds and club facilities.

Clubhouse seems quite rundown and ladies toilets in need of tlc. However, men in the kitchen cheery enough & made a decent coffee! It is, after all, 'just' a clubhouse not attached to other facilities or sports clubs. Pitches good, which is the important thing.
