The staff at Balham Paints are very friendly and knowledgeable. We've bought countless things from here. As the name suggests, they also have an excellent selection of premium paints.

Absolute basics are at least twice as expensive as the same things are at Argos in Balham.I don’t think they have to add such a big mark up on all their products to stay competitive.It’s not a DIY boutique, some simple items should be reasonably priced

I have been using Force Home care for nearly 10 years , amazing service , amazing advise... Always give me very good advise on all hardware and paint. Very honest and highly recommend and very fair price. Keep up the good work...

VERY expensive, in fact it is immorally over priced.I visited for 8 metal pegs (usually a few pence each) he wanted £5! I asked why so much, the shopkeeper explained that this is Balham and people are used to being ripped off! So at least he was honest there if not in his pricing.. I got the pegs from my usual hardware shop for 50p, yep 1/10 of the force homecare price!Be like all the builders in the area and don't allow this shop to rip you off.+ I suspect the other reviewers are friends of the shop, or are clueless to what a decent hardware shop charges, stocks or how well informed their staff are expected to be. Force homecare ticks none of the important boxes. The helpful staff are mentioned by all of the other reviewers, but is this really to be unexpected when they are ripping you off.. ? A good conman is polite.

As an enthusiastic DIYer I visit this store regularly and have got to know Abdul and his team well over the years. They are always incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The brands that they stock are not the cheapest, but they are all very high quality brands, and you get what you pay for. If I have seen anything cheaper anywhere else, they are always happy to match the price. I couldn't recommend Abdul and his team more highly.

Popped in looking for a lightbulb, as no where in Balham seemed to have a LED ses bulb, the staff where helpful in trying to choose and find the right one. Unfortunately they had sold out that week and had them order.All in all, friendly staff, reasonable prices and not a chain!I’ll be popping back here if I need anything for a repair soon.

Very helpful and patient with my wife and I looking for specific colours and mixing us pots. For Little and Green paint cost was same as we could get from the web.

They should rebrand this place as “The Most Useful Store in Balham” - aside from a great paint selection they seem to have everything I need for hardware. Really helpful staff too.

Good store. All the staff is very helpful. They have a good range and variety of diy products. It is a bit expensive. One has to pay for kindness nowadays..,

I recently bought a large amount of bathroom stuff from Force as they are local to me. Far from being ripped off as others seem to suggest, they price matched the cheapest online supplier. If they have a relationship with a brand then they are able to access the same prices, and pointed out when they could not. Plus they were extremely helpful in the process. I can not comment on 50p metal pegs, but I saved hundreds vs the RRP on the bathroom.
