We purchased some laminate flooring in July and were assigned A P Projects as our fitters. Alistair came to assess the work required and told us at great length (he could talk the hind leg off a donkey) what he was going to do and how great it would be. We have never had laminate flooring before but it turned out that his workmanship, even to our eyes, was so bad we actually paid him off before he had fitted the skirting boards. We also had to remove the cheap aluminium door bars he had glued down as they had buckled up and were unsafe to walk over. He obviously knew his work was shoddy as after the flooring outlet inspected it we got our money back from him straightaway. Now needing someone to fit our skirting we contacted X R Property Solutions, they wouldn’t fit it because of the state of the floor, which was worse than we had originally thought. The laminate had been laid incorrectly in various aspects, under recommended measurements, no expansion gaps, poor saw work, identical boards laid together, broken boards, glue marks and unlevel springy areas. X R Property Solutions said they would sort everything out and then fit the skirting, but never did, so unfortunately we have had to leave negative reviews for them also. We were then sent another guy to look at the floor and knew immediately he was not remotely interested and after some pacing, head shaking, photo taking and sucking air through his teeth he went away saying he would get back to us, when we eventually got hold of him he gave us a quote of six hundred pounds plus, yeah, as if! We would like it sorted but we weren’t born yesterday. There have been several other issues omitted otherwise this would have turned into a book. However this is an honest account of what is an on-going nightmare for us, four months on and we still have a sub-standard, squeaky, creaky, up and down floor with no skirting and no door bars. So if anyone is thinking of using A P Projects we really, really do advise against it, seriously don’t even let this guy over your doorstep. We have posted this review in the hope that we may save others from getting into the same holy mess as us. In hindsight we just wish we had got some carpet down. Alistair can talk the talk but he sure as hell can’t walk the walk!

This guy has made a total mess of my lvt flooring. It took him 2 months to come and fix it. He has only fixed half of it and says I agreed to leave it like that. He did quite a few floors and needs to fix more than the lvt. He won t answer my texts or calls. He got paid quite a bit of money and thinks he can leave the floor bouncy. Do not use him.
