First visit to Withernsea.... the friendly locals made a real effort with their stalls in the centre by the park raising money for charity inc jewellery stands and a free display of fossils which was a bonus for my children who spent ages on the beach searching for their own!Punch and Judy and magician too for nostalgia was also completely free!Much quieter and less to do without these events.

Review: Withernsea Beach - A Serene Retreat by the SeaWithernsea Beach, located on the beautiful East Yorkshire coast, offers a serene retreat for beach enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Having recently visited this coastal gem, I was captivated by its natural beauty and the tranquility it offered. Here's my general review of Withernsea Beach.First and foremost, the beach itself is stunning. The wide expanse of golden sand stretches for miles, providing ample space for leisurely strolls, sunbathing, or engaging in beach activities. The clean and well-maintained shoreline creates a welcoming environment, perfect for families and individuals looking to unwind. What sets Withernsea Beach apart is its peaceful atmosphere. Unlike more crowded seaside destinations, this beach offers a sense of tranquility that is truly refreshing. The absence of overwhelming crowds allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings and enjoy a more intimate experience with nature. The beach is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. During my visit, I was fortunate enough to witness a variety of seabirds soaring above the waves and witness seals bobbing in the water, adding an extra element of natural wonder to my beach experience. Withernsea Beach is a fantastic spot for birdwatching and offers a chance to connect with the local wildlife.Facilities and amenities at Withernsea Beach are well catered to visitors' needs. The nearby promenade features a range of cafes, restaurants, and shops, offering plenty of options for food and refreshments. Whether you're craving a beachside ice cream or a hearty meal, you'll find an array of choices to satisfy your appetite. For families, Withernsea Beach provides a safe and welcoming environment. The beach is equipped with lifeguards during peak times, ensuring the safety of swimmers and allowing parents to relax and enjoy their time with peace of mind. The shallow waters near the shore are ideal for children to paddle and play, creating endless hours of fun.One notable feature of Withernsea Beach is the historic pier. Although it suffered some damage in the past, recent renovations have restored its charm and made it a must-visit attraction. Walking along the pier offers panoramic views of the coastline and the opportunity to indulge in some traditional seaside entertainment. In conclusion, Withernsea Beach is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil and picturesque seaside experience. Its unspoiled beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and diverse wildlife make it an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. With well-maintained facilities, family-friendly amenities, and the iconic pier, this beach has something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a leisurely day on the sand, birdwatching, or simply enjoying a peaceful seaside stroll, Withernsea Beach will leave you with lasting memories of a delightful coastal retreat

Motorhomes can park for free on the promenade. Nearby Captains pub, very friendly. Very clean area. Shops nearby. Would recommend stopping.

Although the access to the beach had many steps there is a slipway to the left of the turrets. There is a stretch of large pebbles to cross before getting to the golden sand. Once the tide has gone out you and your dogs can go for a long walk. Public Toilets are situated to the left of the turrets.
