Claire is a kind and competent teacher. She is not afraid to be critical about your playing but delivers it in a friendly and productive way, with clear instruction for improvement.

Claire is a very patient and relaxed teacher. She gives the pupil the space and confidence to read music and progress in learning the violin confidently - within just a few lessons. It is enriching to witness rapid and deep learning progress through the growing flair and motivation of the pupil which is attributable, also, to Claire's passion and knowledge of her art.

Claire has been teaching my son (aged 8) piano for about eight months (March 2020+). They met once in person before Covid19 meant lessons had to move onto zoom.Claire is always coming up with fun ideas for tunes to learn based upon his own interests and musical preferences, such as Harry Potter, Minecraft and the Beatles, whilst also coaching him towards his exams.Claire is reliable, flexible and my son has really progressed under her tutoring. Most importantly he really enjoys playing, and Claire helps to encourage him to achieve his potential.

I was slightly anxious in starting something which I haven’t done in years particularly as a mature student. However Claire eased me in with the violin and music reading again.Claire is a very competent enthusiastic teacher who is patient and motivating. She encourages me to persevere and applauds me on my good pieces.She corrects me on my bowing, hold and music reading in a methodical step by step and relaxed manner. Her lessons have a mixture of theory and practice and Claire is also very accommodating and flexible in her timings. Claire’s classes are also affordable and reasonable.If you’re looking for a violin teacher who really motivating, experienced and relaxed then Claire is your bow-2 violinist!

My daughter is really enjoying her violin lessons with Claire and her playing developing well. I'd strongly recommend Claire if you want to learn the violin.
