Having played the Ladies course which was absolutely stunning, we just wanted an after-round drink in the Formby Club House. There weren’t any bar facilities open on the Ladies side.Upon entering there is a small bar area separate from the private members area. Given we had played one of the courses and were all smartly dressed we were immediately asked which course we had played and then asked to leave.It represents everything that is wrong with golf when you have 4 golfers that have played on the site, just wanting a drink and turned away.Must be nice to be in a position where you are able to turn away business in what was an empty bar area!

One of the best courses I've played and right up there with the best courses in the Golf Coast. Parkland/links mix, fast greens, penal bunkers that are so well placed, just a great track. Can't wait to play again⛳

Visited Formby Ladies with 3 friends who had never played there before....despite plenty of rain in the days before the course was extremely playable and a great test for any golfer. Don't be put off by the length of the course, there is more than enough hazards to penalise an errant shot.....also loved lunch in the club house afterwards. Thanks for the privilege of playing there.....

Went to watch the PGA Seniors Tournament sponsored by Staysure for a week commencing 22nd-29th August.What a fantastic venue,the golf course was in great condition,a lovely setting thru pine tree forests,a place you would want to visit,to play golf,and for the peace & tranquility it had in abundance.

A unique links course with holes playing through tall pines on the front 9 and through the dunes on the back 9. Always a warm friendly welcome in the pro shop and bar.

First class venue from start-to-finish. Played it on the 21st March and it was immaculate, would love to play it in the summer when the Heather's in colour.The tees, fairways, greens, clubhouse, grounds, all absolute quality.The variety of holes is superb.I play up and down the UK, this is now my number 1.10/10.

Stunning. Has the WOW factor.The Ladies course is the most enjoyable course ive ever played.Its not long but very tight and small greens.You can score but can rack up big numbers very easily.Leave the driver in the car.

What a fantastic golf course - lovely Club House - great staff with a warm welcome and excellent service - this is a proper challenge - the Greens are exceptional with the course set up beautifully and in outstanding surroundings - highly recommended
