Luton DART Central Terminal Station

I had a fantastic experience with the Dart at Luton Airport. The ride was quick, and the train itself was clean and well-maintained. It made my travel seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Be aware!!!!!Buy your train ticket to Luton Airport and you get a free transfer.If you tickets says only to Luton only as I did as there was not instructions saying that I would have to pay extra for a transfer to the airport, the price is a rip off £4,90 for a 3 minutes transfer to the airport terminal.I asked about the bus transfer that used to be free - however they no longer have this option.For me the weird thing is that you have to pay for a transfer service for an public transport station , where the train station is not closed to the airport.The guys working on the Dart entrance was not helpful at all.Very disappointing service.

Nice clean, modern station. Light and bright and and the train itself is fast and efficient. Station is lacking information boards with service times for onward trains. Wasn’t clear enough as to arrivals and departures

So quick & easy allowing a seamless journey from train to plane. Would definitely recommend if you are coming by train or even getting dropped off. I will certainly use anytime I go to London Luton Airport to catch a flight!

It’s a 1 star service until they lower or remove the fee.It’s an embarrassment to the UK that you have to pay for this airport shuttle from the terminal to the train station.Travel to Asia, USA or other developed countries and they have these types of trains everywhere; they’re always clean, fast, efficient and free.If the operator has to charge a fee, then a nominal £1-£2 would be enough, but at £4.90 per person they are essentially robbing the public. Hard working families being taken advantage of, it should make us all so angry and boycott the service.You can almost see the owners sitting laughing at the general public using it as the money comes in. It doesn’t matter how much this cost to build, the £4.90 charge is outrageous!I used it once for the novelty but will use the shuttle bus in the future. The bus should also be free, but at least it’s cheaper and easy to catch.Send a message to the operator, boycott the service by using the shuttle bus!

A significant improvement on the bus service which used to operate between the airport and Luton Airport Parkway railway station.However, I didn't find it as easy as some other reviewers to locate the station at the airport. However, once there, I found the staff helpful and the stations bright and clean. However, there did seem to be a lot of ticket barriers to negotiate!We had pre-booked our railway tickets from the Luton Airport to London St. Pancras via Luton Airport Parkway, so I am unable to comment on the cost of the journey between the airport and Luton Airport Parkway. However I do note comments that it is expensive for a very short journey.

Attended a volunteer exercise today, Wednesday 8th March 2023 . A few bits and pieces to iron out here and there, that were pointed by others at debriefing after exercise. There will be some 'soft openings' for real testing of passenger traffic leading up to going fully operational, so as to get staff up to speed and ensure operational resilience. It'll be a learning curve as always, and most experience is learned by running a live operating system. Platforms are longer than the two car units at present, but it wouldn't surprise me if they need to increase them to three cars before any extension for another airport terminal.Good luck all.

We live local, there is no official drop off zone but you can use the Hanpton by Hilton Hotel drop off as it's next to it.The shuttle was very easy and runs every 10 minutes. Try to avoid using when mainline trIn arrives, that's very crowded.

I recently used the Dart and was really impressed! The train was on time, clean, and comfortable. The staff at both stations were friendly and provided help when needed.It was a convenient and reliable way to travel to and from the airport and I would use it again.
