A very warm welcome and good service. The food was excellent, very tasty and well presented. A relaxing atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended lunchtime meal for 3 adults. Good variety of menu on offer.

We love going to The Highwayman. We can always guarantee we will have a good meal. The food is always good quality and served to high standard. The owner and staff always very friendly and the service A+. Definitely recommend.

We booked a dinner visit and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was beautifully prepared and presented but most importantly very tasty. A member of staff remembered us from a previous visit which was quite incredible. She remembered a particular dessert I had ordered and offered to prepare it again. I accepted and really enjoyed it.The traditional appearances of the building has been maintained providing a comfortable ambiance in which to enjoy one's meal. We definitely will be returning to repeat our enjoyable experience.

We had a delicious Sunday roast here, sepcial mention to the nut roast which is one of the most delicious veggie options I have had. Slightly let down by the service, there were a few tables in the bar whose reservations had not been properly booked in so there was a fairly long wait for the food and had to pop to the bar to get another drink, but we were not in a rush so we didn't mind much. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. It seemed like a place which attracts regulars back time and time again and fostered a social atmosphere.

Popped in after going to the English Civil War reenactment at Stonham Barns. Beautiful looking pub and gardens. We received a lovely welcome from the barman who was very attentive. The food was excellent, the pie of the day being one of the best chicken and leek pies I've eaten in a very long time. My partners ham, egg and chips was perfect as well. Well recommend.

I wish I could pick The Highwayman up and move it back home with us!The atmosphere was so warm and relaxing, and the service was absolutely perfect with a very welcoming man behind the bar, and a lovely waitress who made sure we had everything we needed with our meal.The food was exceptional, exactly what we needed after a 3 1/2 hour car journey.I could not fault anything about our meal at The Highwayman and I would like to thank the team there for making it such an enjoyable evening for us!

1st time tonight, and certainly won't be the last. Total dining experience above any expectations. Great friendly host , excellent food , fantastic ambience and lovely little gestures. It was mentioned it was my birthday as a passing comment and when we ordered desserts , mine came with a lit candle and happy birthday piped in chocolate on plate aswell as singing me happy birthday. See you again soon

Stopped off for lunch enroute to Norwich. The Food, Service and Friendly staff deserve 6 stars but I can only give 5. Highly recommended. Neil, Karen and Milly.
