Having just come back from York, as a family we felt we needed to give credit where credit is due, to a fantastic Manager Shafiq and team at Why cook for catering and organising my sister’s wedding last week at the Thicket Priory York. If you’re in any doubt about choosing this company for a big special day, please read on.Though Why cook came up more on the top level of our budget, the things that we kept coming back to was just how good the service was from the initial enquiry to our meeting, to the amount of time Shafiq spent with us - all of that before we even booked with them, AND before even trying the food!Now the subject of food. Both we and our families were really impressed and grateful for the service we received when food tasting with the Why cook’s team in the Bradford. They were very attentive, listened to our requirements and were very helpful in finding out details from the wonderful Chef’s team. Though we had picked our choices for the menu, the team brought us so much more to choose from - which in other food tasting we never had - which helped us make our final choices - this was no easy task as all the dishes were delicious! We walked away very happy customers and 2kg heavier :) :)Now for the actual wedding day itself. From the very beginning of the day, all the way throughout, the Why cook team were absolutely fantastic!The lunch food was extremely tasty, as well the canapes, starters and mains - all served hot, meat was tender when needed to be and the turnaround of food frequent - we, our guests and family were really happy and impressed. We actually forgot about the silver service our top table received and this really was a lovely touch - thanks again to the team they really looked after us.No doubt we'll be back to the caterer soon and of course have been advertising them to anyone who asks - but I’ll be honest, we don't need to do much as they respected what we wanted from day 1 and during the whole event, Shafiq and the entire team's efforts spoke for itself during my sister’s special day.

When thinking of ordering food for party or celebration Whycook" is always going to be my first choice. We recently ordered food for a workplace event and quality of the food provided was outstanding and the customer service was delightful and very professional. 10/10 highly recommended."

Has to be the most delicious catering food I've had! Highly highly reccomend this place.

I wanted to try something different other than a burger and why cook did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken pasta and it came piping hot, good portion size and very tasty indeed! They were not stingy with their cheese or chicken so I am very impressed! Presentation did not disappoint and I cannot wait to order again!

Ordered for a small family occasion. Food arrived hot and on time and was delicious. Credit to the chef. God bless his hands. Look forward to trying more food off their menu. Highly recommended...

The food was absolutely delicious, first class service. Shaf is an amazing chef. Food is always excellent and I can't wait to order again for Eid. I have always ordered food for home, events, and special occasions. I have spent most of Ramadan cooking so don’t want to cook on Eid day. I have ordered everything on the menu so we can spend quality time together as a family. I love the food here as it’s amazing and mouth watering. Guys order from here and you will thank me later.

Wow, great food. We had the leg of lamb, roasted veggies and lasagna. Absolutely loved it.The “gravy/sauce” for the leg of lamb is very spicy though so it may not be for everyone. 10/10 recommend!

I ordered food for a small family function and was not disappointed. Food was freshly made and delivered on time. I had a lot of positive feedback from family members in regards to the food. I would highly recommend whycook to anyone. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Look forward to trying their leg of lamb and salmon.
