The Old Palace Lodge Lincoln

We stayed here for two nights in two rooms, a beautiful double room for us and a single room for our daughter. Our double was amazing immaculately presented with a lovely window. The single room also well presented. Staff on arrival were helpful and the gated parking was also a bonus. Breakfast is a continental bag placed on your room door handle at the time you request, along with tea and coffee making facilities, milk and juice in your fridge it's more than adequate. The Old Palace Lodge is situated almost at the top of Steep Hill and is ideally situated for visits to the Cathedral and the Castle. Loved this place, would definitely stay again.

Just brilliant, lovely large rooms with plenty of character and comfort as well as a well stocked fridge. Very well located at the top of Steep Hill and very near to the superb cathedral. Onsite secure parking too.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms were lovely, all different and had everything you needed and more. Fresh milk and orange juice, bottle of water, biscuits, crisps sweets. Wonderful hosts, definitely one to visit again

I stayed in the Grand Suite and good God, is it grand! It really does feel like staying in a palace, with an amazing four-poster bed and huge windows with stained glass crests, and a bathroom the size of my flat at home, with a tub and gorgeous lighting. Despite the size, the whole suite is warm and cosy, with a lovely coffee maker and lots of free biscuits and little chocolates. Breakfast comes in a parcel hanging from your door handle in the morning. The location is amazing (near the top of Steep Hill, so you get some exercise on the walk up) in one of the most beautiful parts of Lincoln. Easily the best hotel room I've ever stayed in.

Lovely room in a converted chapel. Very comfortable and well appointed. In the evening we sat on the cushioned benches in the garden with a glass of wine and it was remarkably quiet and peaceful given that it it only five minutes walk from both the cathedral and the castle.

Rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. They have everything you need and they offer a complementary warm croissants to your room in the morning (alternatively, they have a deal with a local cafe if you want something more substantial - for an extra cost). The location is really good, it is at the top of steep hill, next to the cathedral. Overall, a very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Absolutely stunning building, great location friendly helpful and efficient staff. The rooms are amazing making use of the original features of the building to great effect, could not fault in any way

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The building is so romantic and just so beautifully cosy and warm for a winter break. Everywhere so clean and well looked after and the staff.... well they are all so lovely and welcoming and I am blown away at how special they made my birthday which was not prompted by anyone just purely out of kindness. Thank you
