Calverts Carpets Ltd (Driffield)

I can't fault the team at the Driffield branch, very friendly and they give a great service. However, I felt I had to give a review as the fitters they use (Stuart) let them down. Stuart came to fit my carpets and bathroom vinyl in August. He damaged the vinyl (it tore) and there were gaps where he hadn't fitted it plush to the walls and vanity unit. I raised this with him on the day and he said he would replace the vinyl and fit it again. He did say the vinyl wasn't very good quality (however, I had another fitter do the kitchen vinyl which was the same type with no problem and he did a lovely job). We communicated by texts to arrange the refit, however, sometimes Stuart simply ignored my texts, other times he said he was waiting for the vinyl to arrive and would call me when he had it and could come back. This went on for over two and a half months and it became clear he had no intention of putting the flooring right. I'd even asked him to let me know one way or the other so at least I could get another fitter booked, or to at least provide the replacement vinyl (I even said he could leave it at the Driffield store and I would collect) so I could get my bathroom finished. So now I have an unfinished bathroom, poorly fitted vinyl and additional stress on top of moving into a new home. I did call Calverts at one point to ask if they could chase Stuart, but that didn't seem to work either. So in the end, a poor experience and I won't go back for fear of getting Stuart as the fitter again! Sorry to the store team, but Stuart has let you down!

Went last Saturday, a huge range of Carpets and other Flooring, all very competitvly priced. Don't know the name of the Salesperson but he was extremely helpful and knowageble.

Bought a full house this week. Was very well priced and the cheapest by far, although I had not tried others in Driffield only Bridlington. Nice lads lots of friendly banter

I must be a lucky person cos I decided to drive 12 miles to a carpet shop I have never been to. I wasn't disappointed by the quality carpets or the pleasant helpful staff. I do recommend this place, I will be going back when I need some more carpets.

A guy called fruitcake and another guy both happy to help and not trying to sell the most expensive, we only popped in for a roll end, we found one which was bigger than we needed and we're ready to buy when one of them found a smaller piece of the same which saved us £20.00. They were delivering in our are so we had it within 2 to 3 hours. Great service.

Delivery off lino on time, but the fitters cut it to short at back of cooker, never said nothing just took money and went. Thinking that I would not notice it. Instead of charging me the full £48, they took £45, if I noticed that the lino was cut too short then I would have only paid him £40 .We deal with them all the time the guys who works in store are spot on it's just the fitters that they hire that is not. We already had lino and carpet for stairs laid a few months back, again it's the fitters that not any good.

I left a review last week but did’nt know the name of the salesman, well today he delivered the carpet, his name is Paul, a really helpful man, so cheerful and polite, what a pleasure to meet. Calvert’s you have a diamond working for you. Would highly recommend both for Carpets and all floor covering, bonus is really good staff.
