A real asset to the region. It clearly demonstrates a meaningful engagement with the local community, whilst also presenting the jewels of the region to visitors. The centre boasts a fantastic exhibition with film about the history and sights of the area, and leaves you excited to go out and explore Shropshire. There's a full sized mammoth skeleton (well the replica of one found in nearby Condover), local archaeological finds, and activities for children. I particularly loved how they shared the story of Wild Edric, a local legendary hero and historical Anglo Saxon lord. There's a fantastic café, gift shop, toilet facilities, and it is all very accessible to disabled visitors. Even the 30 acres of land outside have ramps for wheelchair users. The nature park outside is really lovely and the children really enjoyed exploring and playing. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and their passion for the area is clear to see. We visit every time we come to Shropshire and it is an absolute delight. Love the place!

Lovely place to stop when travelling through the area. Good place to walk the dog. Good quality fresh food in cafe including old-fashioned favourite hot puddings with custard, cream or ice cream. Nice shop for browsing with clean toilets. We stop off here on our regular trips.

Lovely open space to walk or picnic. Some tables and benches with parasols outdoors and a small eating area indoors with good views. Clean accessible toilets. Small climbing frame with slide for the little ones outside and a soft play area indoors. Scenic walk and paddling pool.Wholly mammoth replica a treat. Artifacts on display and a short historical video, plus a few games and Crafts dotted about makes for a varied interactive fun family day out. I would return. I must not forget the gift shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful affordable gifts, postcards, gemstones, sharks teeth, fossils and more on sale. I am sure you have guessed it by now. I loved it.Parking is free and accessible but a donation is suggested.A local hidden treasure.

A lovely afternoon out with our 7 year old. The museum and cinema gives an excellent overview of Shropshire's history from dinosaur to now (There's a small admission charge). A lovely walk out the front and a lovely cafe and shop to refresh in afterwards. Loads of parking and friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

This was a nice little nature reserve with a huge centre, which included a large shop with bits to buy like souvenirs, toys, calendars, books, jam, etc. There is also a cafe, with plenty of seating. We attempted to have a walk around the reserve outside, unfortunately the weather has left the paths very wet and muddy, and not very safe. There were wooden obstacle courses directly outside the centre for the kids to play on, I think on a warmer day it would be more pleasant. The staff were friendly enough, and there seems to be a lot of educational sessions available. Would come back if in the area again.

We had a nosey round the books in the gift shop and purchased a few. We then had coffee a little disappointing a machine coffee so not the best coffee we've had. Lovely seating areas inside and out. We then did a circular walk starting at the centre. There are some amazing views. A very enjoyable day. We returned to the centre just in time for ice-cream a couple of minutes before it closed 5pm.
