Shockingly bad. Been twice for breakfast. This last time one of the chefs was being so rude to the severs, it was awful to watch. Spoons breakfasts are usually great, however both times here the bacon was very undercooked and the whole thing was cold apart from the beans. Such a shame

Arrived today orders 2 burgers, on heatwave and one tenesday. Both were totally cold, like a salad. We sent them back only to have the remake of the chicken burger spread across the plate and plain, so no heatwave sauce. Atleast it was hot. But equally it's not what we paid for.Staff apologiesed but was dismissive when flinging the food down. Really sad to say we won't be coming back.

Great friendly atmosphere, most of the staff are very helpful and polite. Drinks are great brands and even better prices. The food is great as I ugly get the same (pizza) as I know its good and can count on it. Also my wife get the boneless banquet meal as she can count on that. We are there atleast once a week and never disappointed. Definitely worth a visit

Waited 40 minutes for drinks, they didn't come but when we asked, they just so happened to be at the front of the bar where anyone could have got to them and they weren't being watched, not good for student safety at all. Staff told us they couldn't cancel the order after 40 minutes, meaning we couldn't get a refund

My 2nd review.. 1st was 4 years ago.Friday afternoon, busy but not too busy. Served straight away at the bar by friendly bar staff. Other orders via the app were delivered to my table in a couple of minutes (which was spotless when I sat at it) Empty gasses were cleared regularly. Ordered food...came about 5 mins later. Chips were warm (still nice) but everything else was hot, fresh and tasted great (burger/drink meal deal)Say what you will about Spoons (or this one is particular) but I can't fault it, at all.Well done to everyone on duty todayDrinking my late dad's fave beer today. Won't be the last time either, well kept, well served and at this price, definitely can't complain!

Not a bad Wetherspoons and good location. Gets busy. The refill coffee is great! The breakfast was nice and two plates had Wong items on. The furniture needs some attention as table 36 had some exposed nails as the arm rests had broken off and could hurt someone. Good stop for lunch and food was nice.

It’s not often I visit somewhere and the Spoons trumps the lot of them. A great pub particularly if the weather is conducive to sitting out on the upstairs terrace. Prompt, efficient service with a great choice of ales.

A favourite of ours for good old pub grub and a convenient location. Shout out to Sue Briggs who goes over and above to make sure customers are well cared for, and consistently gives a fantastic service. We usually only see her on Sundays and can really tell the difference - the place is immaculate! Thanks Sue.

Cheap and cheerful place and starting to look a bit run down. Food and alcohol is quite cheap. Have a lot of students drinking in here as there is a university close by. Quite often when we have been in the tables haven't been cleared quickly enough so you have to move them yourself into a nearby table, if one is free, then ask the waitress to wipe the table when they bring your food. Seating is starting to look dirty and tatty, quite disappointed with the place and Food was so, so, but if you just want a drink that's inexpensive then it's OK.
