Paid online for petrol vw golf was given an all electric corsa was a nightmare takes 4 hours to charge even on a rapid charger u have to download apps to use a charger u have to put money on the app via a debit card and also when I took car back I was overcharged and they also charge you the tax separate to what your final price is online who does that lol ?? Every other car rental place charges the tax with the final price why u take it separate after the cars already rented is ridicilouse and a scam

I was really impressed with the service here. The reception staff and the guy who checked the van over after the hire were professional yet personable.The online booking and check in process was good.The van was clean and well priced.I would definitely use Hertz and this branch again.

My son Booked through a third party - He went to collect the car today and was immediately met with a hostile welcome, walked in and the female staff member called Debbie, face dropped - extremely rude and defensive from the start. Have to mention that my son is a mixed raced male in his late 20's. The manager paul then joined Debbie and kept saying well you wont get a volkswagen" (that was the car booked and paid for). He was then told that he "failed" their traffic light system. He asked numerous times what this meant and Debbie just kept repeating you failed and that they can't tell him why. He rents from Enterprise on a regular basis with no problems at all. Both staff members refused to give him any information. He has a clean driving license and no adverse credit at all. Their attitude was rude and unfortuantely the way they both came across appeared to be racial

Do not use Hertz. I hired a car, someone drove into my rear. Got their insurance details and immediately passed these onto Hertz. The other driver accepted liability. Inspite of this Hertz fully knowing the details that I have a claim against the person that hit me they passed the debt to a debt collection agency and completely ignored all correspondence from my solicitor. Hertz are merely passing their administration on to a debt collection agency. Do not use them.

They won't answer their phones, they will take 200 pound deposit and not give it back. The Vauxhall was good. But not being reminded to collect my 200 pound, $356 Aussie before I left the office and the UK is just unprofessional, or intentional theft. I can find no way to contact them for the refund, no email, no contact on the Web and they won't answer any of the phone numbers provided.

Picked up a rental car yesterday, quick and easy service. Only downside being that it is a little put of the way if you don't have a car, which is likely the case if you are renting one. Sounds like they will be moving to somewhere more central again soon though.

I love this company, better than other rivals such as enterprise where they will only give you smaller cars and charge you a little extra.I have used them several times due to my car being off road but all i can say is, great service, kind staff, and most of all the cars are very good.Sometimes you can get better vehicles for the same price i.e. premium vehicles but thats if your lucky, but most of the time they will always try to put a smile on your face.I Just hope their service is always a five star, but they will have me there regularly now.Thank you HERTZ! great service!

Booked a van and paid what was stated thinking that was it only to be told just before collecting keys that there's a £200 deposit needed! No where states this clearly on the Internet. Now having to wait a week to get refund as we do not have said £200! Last time I used Hertz there was no issue and no deposit was needed. Also if you want to ring then and speak to someone you're quicker going down as they don't answer their phones, tried 10 times and no answer just hung up.

Avoid, go somewhere else. I booked a “premium” car, and paid significantly more for it. It’s basically a scam. When I turned up, I was provided with a car which Hertz’s own website says is not in their premium category. I complained - I could have booked exactly the car I ended up with for for a lot less money. “Don’t know why you were offered that, we don’t do premium cars here”. I had no choice but to accept it as my holiday was the next day, and had no other means of travel. Complained through the website asking for the difference to be refunded and got a voucher (less than the difference and in a foreign currency… really?!). Anyway I don’t want a voucher as I won’t be using Hertz ever again. I feel like I’ve been cheated.

Hertz charged me £85 for a tiny scuff on the wheel rim which I do not believe that I caused.
