As always food was delicious staff are lovely, maybe a little over nice, got asked 3 times if food was OK and if we were ready for next course, suggestion would be allocate staff to tables maybe

Got a set meal for two (Beijing banquet). The soup was nice. The chicken skewers and ribs were so dry it was unedable. The seaweed and prawn toast is soft and not crispy as it should be. The beef and black bean is nice but nothing special. The sweet and sour chicken was absolutely terrible. Special rice was nice but again nothing special. The spring rolls were very greasy and stodgy. If it cost £20 and not £53 I would have let it go and avoided them in the future. However it was £53 and we thought for that price we were going to get something special. That is why I felt the need to post an honest review about how bad it was. This is the first time I have ever done a review. I will never go back to Princess garden, Ponteland. Ever

I was back in the UK 2 weeks ago, on my last Monday we went to the Princess Garden for dinner, we had tried calling to book but had a problem with our phones and we couldn't get through. However as we were flying out the following day we thought we would go early and wouldn't have a problem!We got there at 6.30pm and the restaurant was packed!The girl on the desk at entry was lovely! Spoke to her manager who asked if we would mind having a small table,we said that wouldn't be a problem.They asked if we would mind having a drink in the bar while they got the table ready.They promptly bought out prawn crackers for us to have with our drinks while they prepared the table.Another larger table left earlier than expected and as this was a larger table they quickly prepared the table for us.The service was fabulous! The food delicious!Have to say we had been back in the UK for 6 weeks and my husband had said he wanted to go for a Chinese sit in meal before we left, hence this was our last night! I wish it had been our first as we would have been every week that we were home!Fantastic service! Delicious food! Dreaming of next year when I will be back on holiday! Thank you for a fabulous last night!

Haven't been for years and what a lovely evening with grown up children. Fabulous good, great service and atmosphere. Good value on Monday evening.

Food was inedible. Chicken was dry bits of foamy cardboard. Beef and black bean was like brown bog water. It had definitely all been microwaved to reheat. Yuk. I’m actually shocked at the good reviews. The New Rendezvous down the road is millions better than this place.

Always had great service from princess gardens but yesterday's delivery was a shambles. One portion wasn't delivered at all. Went to have my lemon chicken this evening. No lemon sauce. Rang the restaurant & was told it was impossible the lemon sauce was missing. Told them it was a fact. Customer service was shocking on the telephone. They have lost a customer.
