The New Queen Inn
Came here for Christmas day and was so impressed! We were a party of 4, had the Turkey, beef and Duck, were absolutely blown away! Now we are regulars! The food, the service and the atmosphere are all so very good. The managers are so personable and welcoming, as are the staff who are attentive and hard working. We've been exploring many outlets for the best Sunday roast, after more than 15 tried so far in the christchurch area, the New Queen is no. 1! The live music on a Sunday afternoon creates a wonderful atmosphere and everyone seems so happy! Could not recommend highly enough!!

Has been nicely refurbished only popped in for a drink on the way back from ringwood.Very busy in the restaurant for a Saturday lunch time.Large car park and good selection of beers etc.With a visit if you're in the area.

Just a few miles north of Bournemouth, this pub is in a beautiful countryside location. Friendly service, good food, a great play area for kids, and a lovely raised patio with views towards the River Avon. Take a pair of binoculars for bird watching or plane spotting!

Super friendly staff. Excellent food and quick service. Ryan even gave us a lift home with two dogs in his own car. Would highly recommend.

Very nice gastro with a garden and wetlands backdrop. Wide choice of food - we can recommend the Thai red curry and prawns while my daughter enjoyed roast beef. Good food, excellent service and good value.

Country pub that offers a good array of food and a lovely location.There's a reasonable menu that has something for everyone; burgers, fish, chicken, steak and the like. The quality is good, without being superb.Like a lot of menus nowadays, you get a core meal and then pay extra for vegetables, chips etc.Portions are generous.Value for money is reasonable, main dishes are £15-£25. Desserts are about £7-£8.Overall an enjoyable experience, I would happily go back again.

Took my daughter and her family there on a Sunday afternoon on the way back from the beach on a hot, hot day. Sat outside. The garden overlooks the Avon wetland.I had a scallop and pork belly starter. The pork belly was soft and melting. I was surprised to see the orange bits left on the scallops, but why not? The burrata salad was greatly enjoyed. Must try it some time.I had a Thai red curry which had a good flavour, and the prawns were succulent, but the baby sweetcorn swamped everything else. Coconut rice was good. My guests went for roasts and steaks and there were no complaints about that: it all looked excellent.The children wolfed everything in sight, even the pickier ones. The loved the play area too.I'd lost interest by the pudding stage and contented myself with a well kept pint of razorback, but everyone else was pleased with theirs.The pub was busy, but they took good care of us, especially since we showed up half an hour before the kitchen closed.Really very good

This was a 5 star pace for having a lovely outdoor evening meal,with cows grazing right behind the fence. Great children's play area, too!

Recently refurbished, nice setting.Went there for the first time as I was recommended to try this place. Very nicely appointed with pleasant restrooms, could smell the paint, still. Sat in the beer garden, glorious sun shining, my husband went to order our drinks. Sat at a table that was adequately in the sun, the parasol provided enough shade for me to enjoy my time, unfortunately the table was not cleared of the previous occupants' glasses. There was some time before my husband came with our drinks. Our table was at still not cleared. It was painfully obvious that the front of house could not cope, as there were just two people serving. I saw a girl clearing some tables and the same girl occasionally brought food to tables, there was also a man who also brought food to tables. Eventually I had to ask for our table to be cleared. There is a safe children's play area, enclosed and safe. Some people had their dogs with them. I think I'd go there again, it was a pleasant hour we spent there, but the Inn needed to have more staff to cope.
