Real ale bar with incredible choice of beers and gins. Back to basics place with quirky decor and old bank vault you can sit in. Prices quite reasonable. Could do with draught mixers which are currently unavailable, but besides that a welcome new alternative venue for the village.

Been once.... Castle Black stout is amazing. The whole feel of the place is perfect for more seasoned drinkers who prefer to taste their drinks rather than shot them. Good value for money too

For me (an ale drinker) this place is trying too hard at a massive range of quirky ales and would do better to have half as many good beers done right. Great idea just not executed as well as I’d hope.That said it’s still better for ale than the other local pubs. Maybe not atmosphere but beers yes..?I sound confused there, I’ll have to go back and give them another chance!

Always a really great selection of draught and bottled beer.Of course you can pick up a range of red and white wine as well as a variety of gins and whiskeys.A relaxed easy going atmosphere and great staff.

Terrific bar if only for the beer I’m drinking. Deceiving as I was only expecting a micro bar but there are two further rooms and a beer garden (partially under cover). Beer menu on the board to the left as you enter let’s you know the score. Community herb garden at the back where you can help yourself.
