Nuffield Health Gosforth Fitness & Wellbeing Gym

Not sure where all the negative reviews have come from seeing that this is quite a decent Gym. It's not everyday you get a decent priced gym with a Sauna, Swimming pool and Cafe. It's very clean for a gym with a swimming pool, the locker rooms are also very clean.The staff are all very lovely, helpful and do not come across unhelpful at all. Just ask and you shall receive.All in all it's excellent.

Just joined and this is a good gym and health club. Some of the equipment is dated, but does the job. Staff are great and there seems to be enough classes for most. Pool is clean and warm. Steam and sauna both available all day. The gym hasn't been too busy when I've been there.Nuffield Health should be looking to invest on upgrades and a small refurb to this venue to keep pace with local competitors.

This place is a joke…All showers doors are broken, and I mea ALL OF THEM, the staff at reception are lovely but the guys who pretend to be a “lifesaver” is unbelievably rude and so full of himself!!!They are one of the most expensive in Newcastle,but they’re switching off both of the jacuzzi cos the “increasing price of electricity” all is unreal!!Did an annual cos it looks good at the beginning but after all went banana..Can’t wait to go elsewhere…

Very clean. Big gym. Great spa facilities. Loads of parking. Will probably need a car to get there but I see it as a positive as it has less younger adults which makes the gym less busy :D

I have rated this gym as a 3 as it is dated-but I don't so much mind that as long as things do their job! i.e The weights section-Yes it might have old equipment but they serve their purpose so to me that's good enough!I love how spacious the whole place is and the studios are lovely and light and bright. Even though I haven't used the pool area yet-it does look clean, tidy, spacious and non pretentious, which is great!The biggest down side for me is the classes and instructors....Yes there may look like a huge variety of classes on offer but for me, the quality of instructors and quality of those classes in my opinion is not of a high caliber........The instructors don't wear mics so you have no idea what you're doing or why you're doing it, and they seem to be having a workout themselves rather than being there for the members!This is 2020 surely we can find some great instructors that are going to give you a fantastic 45min cycle/body pump/body combat etc instead of walking in a minute or 2 late then lethargically getting sorted before they start! I know that all gyms in UK seem to still be working with the Les Mills concept-we are so far behind the rest of the world from a fitness perspective.....as a fitness professional myself I would love to see a more up to date modern approach with instructors & classes.Staff are friendly!

This place markets itself as a luxury gym, which the price reflects but it is anything but.They have stopped operating the jacuzzis due to fuel costs which is ridiculous.All the cardio equipment is now very old and many machines broken, and have been for a very long time.They don't have cardio equipment you'd expect such as a stepper, paying this amount I'd be expecting a stairmaster.Save your money and go to PureGym, or if you do want luxury, go to Villa Gym.

All in all a decent Gym for the money and good pool. The outstanding experience for me was Stu the duty manager who listened and resolved my questions, there are many managers out there who could learn from Stu on how to manage and provide fantastic customer service.

This gym is relatively dated with below par facilities, limited parking and out of date equipment. For one of the more expensive Newcastle gyms I was expecting equipment of much higher quality than the budget options, sadly the equipment is lower quality, older and not maintained.The pool is nice, well kept and clean.If this gym was £25 a month I'd be leaving a much different review but at £58 (though most will get up to 40% off) you begin to wonder what the premium you're paying is going towards because eits clearly not investment into the gym...

Feel ripped off!After getting shown around the gym and the pool, I then sat down with a member of staff who talked me through the only two prices available a off peak (only allowed in before 5) at £48 and a peak membership at £58 (meaning you can come and go as you please) these are the cheaper rates when you sign up for a year! after a few days of using the gym and speaking to different members I soon realised that most members are paying 40% less (not just for NHS) which I feel is a big difference to the rates I was shown and told these are the only two available! I’ve been completely lied too

Out dated machines, timetable scheduling is awful! Yoga next door to body-pump is not very smart. Reception staff are really good and helpful thou.
