The Coffee House Durham
Overall pretty good value for the city centre. Appears to be an independent café, which is nice. And service was friendly. Food was not too bad either. I had Bagel Gone Bananas (peanut butter and banana). Which was very nice, but the strawberry jam was a little budget. Overall a nice place. But could do with a deep clean. Sticky menus and food stains on cushions were a little off-putting.

Horrific. Not a single vegan ingredient available despite advertising (on menus and social media). Ordered and paid for oat coffee, 15 minutes later get told there’s no oat milk and I’ll get almond. Coffee was inedible.Sister had half a mug of hot chocolate. Horrifying breakfast bagel with one slice of plastic cheese, cheap bacon and terrible scrambled eggs.Napkins came on plates wet.£20 down the drain.

Great little dog friendly coffee shop, staff are friendly, it's reasonably priced and there's a bit of all sorts to choose from on the menu.

Was establishment was infinitely better under the last owners - about 3-4 years ago. Too many tables and chairs = an uncomfortable visit.The service and experience of the staff is very poor and must be improved to get my future patronage

Ordered sausage bap and coffee. Young lady had little customer concerntration. Tables not cleared or cleaned. Felt sorry for what appeared to be owner beavering away in kitchen. His young staff need to up their game or go.

Popped in for a warm drink on a busy day because of the Durham Miners Gala. The staff is friendly and the service is good.

Have been here before with no issues but went in today at 1240 to be told they weren’t taking any food orders as they were too busy. (It was Miners Gala day) but I would guess only 75% capacity.The coffee is nice and can’t fault the staff, just a shame they can’t cope with busy periods.

Decided to pop in as drawn by the sign on the window for a mug of tea. Ordered the bacon roll with tea and added a chocolate chip cookie. Managed to get a comfy seat watching the world go by. Service was quick and roll/drink was hot and tasty. The staff seemed pleasant and friendly.
