I took my eldest dog to Mayfield Vet for tests after noticing she was drinking more than usual. The vet did a couple of tests, consulted Google (thanks, I can do that) and said none of her levels were especially high. It may be the beginning of kidney issue. No medication or advice given, just to come back if things get worse. My biggest regret is not getting a second opinion.Cleo did get worse, quick, I called again fearing things may have gotten so bad she MAY need to be put down, and got an appointment later that day. I put the phone down, and was called right back. A receptionist with a faux sympathetic voice asked me if I'd like to pay for Cleo's treatment over the phone, because that would be easier for me. I expressed they hadnt even seen her, how can they be sure she needs to be put down, they weren't even giving her a chance. Basically the money was more important than my first dog.I cancelled the appointment, went to Cliff (Lewes). My dog got treated like a patient, I got treated like a person. The vet said you can physically feel Kidney problems, felt Cleo's tummy, and confirmed it (no Google, wow). He then said he'd keep her in observation, give her an iv of goodness.Long story shorter, Cleo was put down a the next day. I got my goodbyes, she didnt suffer for her last bit. They were respectful and kind.Afterwards I went to pay, the receptionist at Cliffe looked at me like i was mad. Said they'd send the bill to me and I could pay later. I was stunned. I transferred my other dog over to Cliff and havent looked back.

Absolutely annoying experience I took my cat to see the vet (Chris) at Henley house as soon as he met us he was very despondent and completely uninterested he took no interest in me or my cat every word was a mumble in fact the first 10mins he didn’t even look at me just faced his computer. he never told me any information as he examined my cat, I had to ask if my cats check up was ok and he said “yes” however he went straight to worse case scenario but did not mention (until I asked) the more likely ones. The whole time he had a bad attitude and a couldn’t give a damn demeanour would not return.

We recently changed vets to Henley house at heathfield and I am so pleased we did, our boys are greeted with smiles and fuss as they should! Lovely/friendly staff and 100% made the right choice in changing vets!

Fantastic vets, always so kind, caring, passionate and amazing at what they do. They are so gentle with my guinea pigs who are notoriously quite nippy when getting their nails cut at home. Highly recommend!!

Our little Teddy visited Henley vets today for his 1st check up, and I must say we was so pleased with the care and attention from.going through the door, and Jasmine was so lovely to Teddy think he wanted to stay with her, great care and great service once again thank you Jasmine for all your reassuring today and support see you in July lots of love jean Kevin & Teddy x
