Nice take-away. Will definitely use again. Reasonably priced. Nothing too fancy. Unpretentious. Placed an order about 1½ hours in advance. It was ready, piping hot and waiting, exactly on time.

I tried few Chinese Restaurants around and must say, this is Best food in area! Always hot, fresh and taste delicious. Never ate better chicken clear soup . Egg fry rice is amazing . Vegetarian Spring Rolls are my favourite too . Many of Main dishes are lovely. They deliver till very late evening . I am ordering from Longhouse couple of years already and 99% I am happy with food. Highly recommended to try it !

The food here is really nice, it’s so nice you crave it once you have it for the 1st time. It’s a 5 star for food, and I had been using them for over 5 years, however the service isn’t on point, during these unprecedented times they still were not allowing payment by card for people shielding over the phone and have today advised that they can’t accommodate allergies as mistakes may be made due to human error - like a disclaimer. I think that’s very serious based on how allergies can be. Unfortunately I will never be able to use them again, it you have no allergies though it’s definitely worth going too. Can’t help but think I was told that because I was paying by card though - (feeling disappointed)Thanks for the update - however I didn’t order from you, I couldn’t, as you guys advised you couldn’t accommodate allergies and ordering is at my own risk. Great to hear you spoke to your colleague not sure how that helps though

I always use Long House and usually the food is fantastic. But my experience this evening has completely changed my perception. I made a large order of nearly £60 and the quality of all food items was extremely poor. Firstly they cooked the ribs in the wrong sauce. Admitted this fault then contested that the same fault was made on another order. The female chef could be heard shouting about this matter. The person on the phone, then handed of to the female chef who shouted at me continuously telling me that she only made a mistake on the ribs and not the prawns (never mind the fact that the rest of the room was poorly made). We asked that the food be replaced and they could take back the wrong order. The woman proceeded to shout and tell me that she would not take my order again, despite the fact that we were courteous to her. I had to repeatedly ask the woman to stop shouting but to no avail. We received the correct order in the end but again, poorly made; covered in grease and oil. I will not order from here again. Very disappointed.

Ordered my favorite aubergine dish, it was 50 per cent onions. They were so strong and acrid the flavour of the aubergines was lost. Chicken was not freshly cooked. I used to eat here all the time. Won't use it again. Tiny portions and double the price. No longer worth it.

Lovely, lovely takeaway. We used to order from Long House most weekends but moved away, we are now back in the area and went to try it again. Happy to report that standard is still high and food is delicious. Gets super super busy which is always a good sign! Thank you Long House and keep up the great work.

Never order from there again will say used to be great but what I ordered yesterday was the worst

Had this Chinese first time on 27th March my Birthday.Wow wow wow it was fresh, tasty just delicious.Cost £77.00 but fed 6 Adults with great portion sizes.Definitely ordering again very soon.Thank You Long House

Finger nail in my food..not great taste. It's a chance as I was looking forward to eating and although I found it late on destroyed my appetite. It was a clean cut too so was with clippers. Avoid

This is my local t/a. It does a good selection of Chinese dishes with a few Malay and Thai additions. Prices are reasonable and service is usually quick, except Friday and Saturday when they are very busy. I have been using them for a long time and never had any complaints (unless you count asking for Singapore noodles without chilli, but still getting it VERY spicy). When it is not busy, you can usually park outside, otherwise try around the corner in Plaistow Grove.
