Beautiful harbor, great cafe with tasty food and a small museum upstairs. The staff were very personable and ready to give you history of the area

A beautiful harbour at the turn of the road, with a light tower. The view is soothing and there are picnic tables and benches in the hill view the sea view. Perfect place to chill out.

Lybster Harbour
An absolutely beautiful, well kept small harbour village. There is a single track road that leads down to the wharf and small visitors centre. In front of the small car park is short stony beach.Note that parking at the harbour is very limited. It might be more prudent to walk down from the village rather than drive. Also, the high tide can get quite a way up, so if you have small children or dogs it would be advisable to keep a close eye on them.

Well kept harbour which you can wander about and admire the boats, all the lobster pots and ropes. We spent a while in the harbour watching the Cormorants and swallows flitting about.

Beautiful ancient harbour. Couldn't stay as long we'd liked to as the heavens opened up.

A lovely spot which was once a bustling harbour. The cafe/tea shop serves a good selection. We had a pot of tea and a slice of cake which was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were lovely too!At the time of writing this, the tea shop only takes cash which nearly caught me out. A reminder to all that an “Emergency £10 Tea & Cake fund” hidden in the glovebox is essential when travelling. The museum above the tea shop provides a fascinating insight into the life and times of Lybster and the harbour.

Sat by the sea and wrote a poem about a family member who died at sea many many years ago when His whole fishing boat went down. After making it to the cliffs the sea still decided to take him . His wife standing waiting for him above the cliffs . Rest in peace John McKay Cormack. An Ode to John Mckay CormackI send my thoughts across the sea, there seems no distance between you and me,the waves are crashing upon the shore, the healing wind right to my core.Your soul is out there, your no longer here but I remember us on the pier, when you proclaimed your love for me,John Cormack my love, it will always be.
