What an absolute find. The Sunday roast was excellent. We had all three meats, lamb, beef & chicken. All delicious, as was the accompanying vegetables and Yorkshire pudding (definitely homemade). Hubby had a pud, I didn't have room. Staff were friendly, our pooch was treated to extra beef. Will revisit when back in this part of the UK.

Lovely restaurant with vegan options. We got the vegan no fish 'n chips and the vegan wellington. Presentation was great and would recommend the Wellington if you're looking for a vegan option.

Visited for lunch on Friday. Log fire lit and staff very friendly - all very welcoming and hospitable.Good selection of drinks and food, including a great value specials menu. Meal was nicely presented, tasty and more than we could manage.There was no rush for us to vacate our table once we had finished our meal, so all really relaxing.The inn opening times are limited and tables need to be booked, so it's well worth planning well ahead.Great venue for a Christmas catch-up with friends.

A quaint pub with a really nice atmosphere. The service was fantastic - all members of staff were really friendly and seemed to genuinely care that their customers had a nice time. The food was some of the best we've ever eaten. Three of us had the lamb shank and the plates were left clean - it was delicious. There were also lots of veggie options and my vegetarian friend had the veggie burger, which he also rated highly. They seemed to put as much effort into the veggie food as the rest of the menu. We would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely evening. 4 of us went for dinner and we were served by Gail. Gail gave a natural and friendly service, and the food was gorgeous (generous portions). We ended up staying for 4 hours!Constructive feedback for the salmon linguine special: the pasta came with less roasted vegetable sauce than I was expecting. It was cooked well and tasted lovely, but I was expecting a more saucy pasta dish.

First time visiting last night for my birthday meal. We had such a great night, gorgeous setting and lovely atmosphere, excellent food, tasty with large portions and very well presented. Service was spot on, the staff were very friendly and we didn't have to ask for a thing, our glasses were never empty and they even came out to sing happy birthday. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will definitely be back soon.

Had a lovely meal this evening. Very friendly staff and John, the owner, went out of his way to welcome us and our dog Belle. Would highly recommend this gastro pub for an all round good evening out. So hard to find a pub that offers both dog friendly and excellent food. Thank-you

Really lovely food, although Chef is tiny, very small. Suprised she can reach the countertops. Nice ambiance for small people in particular.
