DECEPTIVE COMPANY, AVOID OR GET CONNED!!For those that have purchased salvage vehicles from this company, I will advise you to take your vehicle for a thorough inspection.For those considering purchasing from this company, I will advise you to look elsewhere. They are an extremely deceptive company and unfortunately a lot of people have been conned into parting with their hard-earned cash for “botched vehicles”.They have managed to get away with it for so long because they sell their cars with “bogus 12 months MOT certificates (issued by a nearby MOT garage they are in partnership with), and conceal unrepaired chassis under shiny new panels.Here’s my story:I took a salvage Astra GTC I purchased to “NJ Car body Repair Ltd” for repairs to the passenger-side wing which was damaged in an accident.A week later, the repair had been completed and went in to collect. I had a look around the vehicle and was pleased that the damaged car I purchased had now been fixed.A couple of days later, I purchased a salvage Vauxhall Corsa for my partner and took it to NJ Car body Ltd for repairs to its passenger side wing and chassis. I was called in a week later that the vehicle was ready for collection. I took the car for an MOT and it failed woefully due to large amounts of work which had not been carried out in the chassis (underneath the panels).I immediately took the vehicle back to NJ Car body Ltd with details of the MOT failure and he promised he would fix the fault and notify me when to collect.Over a week later, I believed my vehicle had been fully repaired and now road-worthy when the owner of the company handed over my keys along with a Full 12months MOT for the Vauxhall Corsa.The Vauxhall Corsa was used by my partner to get to work less than 5 miles away so it took about 6-7months before we took the vehicle for a service. At the service station, the Vauxhall technician had a strange look on his face when he opened the bonnet, and asked where I had the vehicle repaired, after I told him, he suggested I take the vehicle back to NJ Car body Ltd and the vehicle was not safe to drive. He was even more shocked when I told him the vehicle was issued a full MOT.I contacted NJ Car body Ltd immediately to make arrangements to return the car back to him but he was uncooperative and refused to repair or take responsibility and made it clear that enough time had passed and it’s no longer his problem.A few weeks later, I noticed a gap beginning to appear on the front bumper of my Astra GTC (the first vehicle I had repaired at NJ Motors) however I decided not take the vehicle back to him due to the way I’ve been treated, so had an alternative body-shop inspect the vehicle.When he unscrewed and removed the passenger side wing panel, we were both shocked to find that the metal chassis directly beneath the wing panel had not been repaired at all, just covered up, hoping it will never be discovered.I was furious, I had paid him thousands of pounds to repair the vehicle but all he did was cover it up with new panels and gave it back.I have never felt so stupid, I immediately referred the matter to a small claims court but unfortunately I lost the case because a significant time had passed before I realised his deceit.I had to spend another £1800 to get both cars properly repaired at another body-shop.So for those of you considering purchasing a salvage car from this deceptive company, think again. I was lucky enough to have lived to tell the tale, I only lost money and not my life.
