We are new to this country and had a difficult time finding a place to rent. Especially since a large part of my income still comes from America and we had no credit here in the UK. Pocock &Shaw worked with us and Judy went well above and beyond helpful. As foreigners we had no clue as to the process of renting g and she was patient and walked us thru the whole process. Outstanding!For me, an absolute example of how an estate agent should be in our “the computer says NO” new world. Professional throughout, their team is knowledgeable, friendly and they make you feel they care and are on your side when you sell a property. I know this is how agents should be but judging by my terrible experience with Cook Curtis & Co last year, the difference is night and day. Lovely marketing from Cook Curtis but they couldn’t sell my property in almost 6 months and continually gave me the wrong advice. I instructed Pocock this year and the property was sold in less than 2 months for a lot more than Cook Curtis’ unsuccessful attempts. I don’t think it was luck and I wouldn’t think twice about instructing Pocock again. My advice is simple: avoid Cook Curtis & Co and, at least, shortlist Pocock & Shaw in your search.

Kevin and Jan at Pocock and Shaw recently handled the sale of our house. They dealt with us honestly, there was no hard sell or sales jargon and they were always quick to respond to any questions and concerns we might have. I have been thoroughly looked after during our tenancy with Pocock and shaw. I would recommend them for any new tenant. They were always quick to respond to queries or problems if we had any. If the landlord didn’t want to sell the house we would still be there as we enjoyed the house and it was fairly priced all the way through our tenancy.
