Not been here in awhile for a Sunday carvery and probably won’t rush back. The meat and veg were average but the chap who was carving the me look like he was in competition to see how thin he could slice the meat. The beef was also very fatty and grisly and the cauliflower cheese Had no taste. I did mention it to one of the staff about the meat and they brought us some more meat, so that was good.They need to give more meat as I seen other people asking for more and maybe put some cheese in the cauliflower cheese. In the picture that is my lunch I paid extra for extra meat and a larger plate but still had to ask for more meat as I got three small bits and my wife had the standard one and she only got two very thin grisly bits of beef.

Met a friend at The Lime Tree tonight and decided to stay for food. We’re not often ones to leave reviews as we’re always too busy, but I have to say, we weren’t disappointed. The food was fantastic, we both decided to go for the Hunters chicken and it was cooked beautifully, the chips were nice and crispy on the outside and lovely and fluffy on the inside and tue chicken itself was spot on, we also had desserts, which again did not disappoint, I would definitely recommend coming here for food as well as the friendly atmosphere, the staff were lovely and friendly and always on hand without being intrusive. We’ll be going back again as soon as we both have matching days off.

Me and my partner decided to celebrate our anniversary at the lime tree saturday, when booking i wanted to surprise my partner with a dessert the lady on the phone was amazing and she UNDERSTOOD the assignment it was beautiful, every worker was lovely service was amazing, food came out quick and delicious it created the perfect atmosphere for our date, Thank you to the team ❤️

A review of two halves this one as a bit of a mixed experience. We had booked for Sunday dinner and decided to use one of the tables outside - they were happy with us doing this.The first negative came in a mix up with the first round of drinks with the bar staff pouring a lager instead of cider - not a major issue but could have been easily avoided.We then ordered food - four adult meals and two children's meals - and waited. The first two plates of food arrived, the food on them was good. We then waited 10 minutes for the next two plates, which had were the children's meals. After a further 15 minutes of waiting, the final two meals had not arrived. We spoke to staff who went to find out and were told they would be with us soon. It took a further twenty minutes for the food to arrive. With a bit of promoting, they agreed to give free desserts to the children. It is worth noting that the food was very tasty but let down by the fact that none of us were able to eat together - the point of going out for dinner!It's also worth noting that we have been here before and had far better experiences.Other plus points - it has a nice play area with bouncy castles, the staff were all polite, the facilities were clean and the pricing is reasonable.

Excellent Christmas dinner with family this evening, couldn't fault anything. Some of us vegan and gluten intolerant, had good range of choices for both, all delicious. Prompt service and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

Myself, my partner and son attended the lime tree this evening. The staff were lovely. Our waitress was really polite and catered for our every need. The food was delicious. My partner had the beef bordelaise and I have to say I have never tasted anything quite like it. Best meat ever. Compliments to the chef. If you are looking for a new place to eat the lime tree should definitely be the next place you go

Ate in the restaurant here on Saturday night and it was so lovely. V friendly waitress (ginger girl). Had the steak and ale pie (LOADS of onions, not much steak and a lot of pastry so bear this in mind if you want a meat-heavy pie - but the few chunks that were in there were v tender). But the veg that came with the pie was delicious, not overdone like most pub meals! My friend had the pork belly bao burger. She said the meat was really nice, but the whole thing a bit too tangy? The fries were v good. We shared the kinder cookie dough dessert but it was a bit overdone, more of a cookie than cookie dough. Wish we got the Biscoff bread and butter pudding! But it’s a really nice pub, the Malbec was delicious and was bustling on a rainy sat night.

I really wanted a Sunday roast but my usual haunt was full. Me and my Dad decided to try here and we were not disappointed. The generous portion of meat was great! And the beef was so so so yummy. Melts on your tongue! Very happy.Thank you

We had a lovely family meal here for my son's eighth birthday. Izzy and her colleagues were so friendly and, despite it being a busy Saturday night, were more than happy to help us out with surprise cupcakes with candles for my son after dinner. Thank you for being fab. We will definitely come back when we next visit Leicester.

Have been a couple of times and the menu is good. Portions are a good size and food is fresh. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a kids play area. They have always accommodated despite last minute booking and being busy. Would recommend and will be back again.
