Very pretty, blue, and black and blue damsel-flies everywhere. Many squirrels that happily take hand fed peanuts too in the rest of the park!

I love Castle Park all weathers but it was sad to see so much flooding in Lower Castle Park yesterday! The best part was the Boating Lake which off season The Swans and Gulls were making the most of the bright Winter Sun and the Water.

Lovely place to watch the local wildlife or as an option to walk along the river from nearby areas such as New Town, Hythe etc en route to Leisure World.Or as a great place to do some fitness training due to the outdoor gym facilities

An early morning walk ,whilst visiting my son at the essex university .the Castle grounds are a joy to walk around .
