FOREST TILL I DIE

I have been a patient for years at this practice and the service they offer is nothing but shocking to rude staff near impossible wait times on the phones to not being able to send messages to your doctor which was removed from the NHS app I guess due to cost cutting exercise. I have had occasions where my doctor as visited me promised he would help and support me but 4 weeks plus later he's done nothing as well as lose the notes he written is inexcusable. Trying to get repeat medicines is an ordeal as they have to individually sign off each medicine after a few repeats and the only way this is done is trying to get through to them on the phone which someday can take hrs why isn't this automatically flagged to a doctor in shouldn't be the patient having to chase this. When you are housebound and disabled you rely on good support from your doctor but when they treat you as inconvenience than an actual human being if I could give them a zero that woudnt be harsh so if you wish to join this practice I would avoid unless you want to experience all of the above and shows by the negative reviews this practice doesn't care about its patients.

I've had a series of disappointing experiences at the Family Medical Centre. This has been ongoing and now I feel compelled to share my feedback. Please read other people's reviews before joining!! If you fancy being treated with no respect especially by the receptionists then join here!My most recent encounter involved requesting a doctor's note due to illness. Regrettably, the receptionist I spoke to was extremely unhelpful and rather rude. Despite my urgent need for the note, I was told I couldn't speak to a doctor until the following day. This isn't an isolated incident. There have been times when I've called right at 8 am only to be placed on hold for more than half an hour, just to be told that all appointments were filled and I should try again the next day.Furthermore, the appointments themselves feel rushed, leaving me feeling unheard.I've decided to change doctors due to these recurring issues. It's definitely essential for the receptionists to undergo some sort of training, and improvements really do need to be done in the appointment booking system!

Doctors and all staff at this practice have been nothing but brilliant. I've had some really bad experiences at doctors before and after switching I was afraid of being treated with disrespect again; my experience, thankfully, has been the opposite. I sincerely hope it never changes - all my interactions with staff have been supportive, well informed, respectful and constructive. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and efforts!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying to secure a timely appointment at Family Medical Centre, and the encounter left me profoundly disappointed. My attempt to seek medical assistance turned into a convoluted mess, highlighting significant flaws in their appointment scheduling and communication processes.Upon calling in the morning to schedule an appointment, I was surprised to be offered a phone call appointment instead of an in-person visit. While I understand the growing trend of telemedicine, it was not my preferred choice, especially for an issue that required a physical examination. Nevertheless, I agreed to the phone appointment, expecting a smooth and efficient process. However, the disappointment began when the scheduled phone call from the doctor never reached me. Despite having my phone in hand the entire time, I received a message notifying me that I had missed a call from Family Medical Centre. Confused and frustrated, I promptly returned the call, hoping to rectify the situation. To my dismay, the receptionist informed me that there was nothing they could do at that moment. I was told to try again the next day because the doctor had attempted to call me twice, and as per their policy, they couldn't accommodate any further communication on the same day. This response left me feeling helpless and frustrated, as I had actively waited for the call that seemingly never came through. The lack of flexibility and understanding displayed by the receptionist only compounded my frustration. It was disheartening to be dismissed so readily without any effort to address the evident breakdown in communication. In essence, my experience with Family Medical Centre was not only inconvenient but also showcased a lack of customer-centric practices. The inability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and the rigid adherence to arbitrary policies significantly impacted the quality of service provided. As a result, I am left questioning the reliability and effectiveness of their appointment scheduling and communication procedures.I sincerely hope that Family Medical Centre takes this feedback seriously and considers implementing improvements to prevent others from experiencing the same level of disappointment and inconvenience that I encountered.

All staff, receptionists, nurses, care staff and GPs provide an excellent service. They are professional, friendly and supportive. They have time to listen to me when I have been feeling poorly. A great practice who have support me with my physical and mental health. I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses for their kindness, support and understanding. I always feel welcomed to the centre and the team have got time to listen to me. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant practice, cannot praise them highly enough. Yes they are busy, but the doctors and nurses all still have time for you. I normally try to see Dr Crofts-Barnes who I think is second to none. They really do make you feel they are doing all they can for your health and wellbeing. Thank you to all staff.

All of the receptionists apart from Mary are awful. Uppity and awfully rude like they have a degree just to answer calls. And when they finally answer your call, they hang up on you. Not sure who is worse... Dr sood or the awful receptionists. All of the other doctors are professional and actually care for their patients despite what is going on with the NHS and government.

It's impossible to get a doctor's appointment, spent 2 weeks ringing up daily and still unable to make an appointment.Update 1 year on, there appears to be no online functionality and as someone with Autism who picks up in vocal tones incredibly well the staff in the call come across incredibly aggressive and makes the call very difficult if you can find a better doctor I would recommend doing so and I can't wait to move to do so.
