Came here spur of the moment, and it was fairly busy. We ordered a carvery, and a chick and mix off the menu. We had a J20 and a lemonade, total cost £26.98. My carvery was very nice, with a good plate size and a nice portion of meat with plenty of veg on offer. The chick and mix wasn't as good. My partner said the chicken breast was a bit rubbery and greasey. I recommend the carvery and the price is reasonable.

The gents toilets need a good repair!Shocking loose toilet seats or no seats at all!I should not have to tell the staff about this surely who ever does the cleaning should notice these things.

Service in here is great. Very attentive, can't do enough for you. Mixed grill was lovely. Huge portion. Had to wait a while as there delivery was delayed but other than that, can't fault the place. Carvery is also brilliant. Good quality, fresh food and there Yorkshire pudding chocolate eclair is a must try. Décor, atmosphere, everything about the place is great. Very family friendly and a wonderful beer garden to the side and rear right by the canal. Small outdoor play area with plenty of outdoor seating. Onsite toilets. Plenty of seating indoors too! Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. Plenty of parking out front. Highly recommended

Came here for a meal with my partner and we had a lovely time! The food was amazing for pub food, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was amazing, we got seated as soon as we got there however drinks and food took a while to get to our table. However, the drinks were incredible and not stingy with the alcohol in the pitchers at all!

Came here for a carvery after visiting Cineworld about 3:30pm, wasn’t particularly busy however still had to wait at the bar to be served. Carvery was lovely much better than a Toby. Unfortunately the toilets were not very nice, blocked, cold, no hot water and hand drier was cold. Brought this to the attention of what it seemed the lady in charge who stated the toilets can’t cope with the amount of people that use them an I quote ‘you want to see them the weekend’ and the hand dryer’s always cold. She said she would go & unblock the toilets but after using them again they were still blocked. Toilets always seem to get the least attention at these types of eateries

I’ve been coming here for around two years now on and off for carveries as they’re my favourite and I’ve never been let down here!Great quality food and great value for money.Have noticed each time I come in there seems to always be the tall man with the glasses working like a nutcase (absolutely amazing service - thank you!!) whilst there’s other little bunches of staff standing around and talking, bit disheartening when there’s orders coming in and customers waiting.Could not fault the carvery and always have an amazing time when served by (I think his name is Jake) the lovely man with the glasses, there’s never too big of an ask. Very fast and very attentive!

Lovely food with a good variety of choices for all; the typical pub choices so there’s something for everyone. I came here for my first date with my boyfriend almost 7 years ago so it holds special memories of that date. I’ve been since too as I often pop to Hobbycraft and it’s the perfect location for a quick drink or bite to eat.
