Sheffield City Council (Emergency Repairs)

If I could rate as a 0 then I would. Absolute shocking service from trying to get through to them down to the actual repairs. Might as well call them cowboys.

Reported a water leak 3 days in a row and was promised someone would be out within the hour, nobody turned up on any occasion.On the 4th day after a load of damaged had been caused they finally turned up.I was the told I would have to pay for redecoration as they didn't do that, but if they had come out on the 1st day the damage would have been slight. so now I have to pay for decorating, flooring and bath panel.I'm now still waiting 3 months later to have my bathroom light reconnected and a big hole in the ceiling repaired.You can't get through to Sheff Council Repairs, everyday i'm on hold for at least 6 hours for the same message that they are having technical issues goodbye.I've now decided to reach out to 1 of these house in disrepair companies to try and force the council to do my repairs.

If I could give 0 stars I would have, called out of hours service as my boiler went down, I had no source of heating or hot water. Told this wasn't an emergency on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't able to get anyone to me until Tuesday the earliest, asked Owen who was the caller what I should do as the house was freezing and he said to wrap up warm. Absolute joke of a service and sheffield city council should be ashamed....pay full rent too but makes you not want to pay anything at all.

Booked a repair for my mom. Her wet room not draining. Explained mom is very deaf house bound and has dementia. Asked if I could have a call 30 minutes before plumber arrived so I could be there to let them in. Yes that's fine. Did that happen NO IT DID NOT. Plumber sent text when he arrived. I got there less than 10 minutes later no card through letter box. I waited 4 hours for plumber. Could not even join queue to query what was happening. DISGUSTING

Awful service , emergency phone line just puts you in same queue as other phone line , my bathroom was flooding due to faulty toilet system and was coming through ceiling , was number 19, in queue , 40 minutes later was no16. Why do we pay rent for this awful service .

Shocking, boiler broke they come out Monday too fix it all fixed what did he do forget too sort the pressure out rang back they can’t do owt else would be charged if someone came out again it’s now day 5 without heating! 5 days without heating!!!!! Absolutely shocking

Regarding kitchen sinkThe blockage was requested to fix as an emergency issue. The lady after discussing with seniors, aproved it and was finally fixed in emergency.The gentleman Mr. Peter(a very friendly person) fixed it nice and quickly with tap leakage as well. I am really obliged andgrateful for both.

Have you waiting in all day for a repair then don’t turn up something needs doing about this it’s not the first time they’ve do it.
