Had my dog booked in for today but unfortunately l am not well. I telephoned the practice to cancel the appointment. The nurse answering the phone was really pleasant.

Really friendly and helpful staff. One vet comes across as patronising when talking about our dog but the rest are great.

They are a very competent practice provide excellent care for any pet. We have received lovely care for our spaniels with going the extra step without a large fee. The aftercare from all staff is very touching and always willing to assist. We have seen vet Andrew more than most and shows a very caring manner with your pet always 1st and foremost without all extra costs for unnecessary treatment and always gives upfront consultation. Thankyou all for all the wonderful care including receptionists.

To Senior Members of PracticeWhat can i say about my experience at your St. Georges Veterinary Practice on Tuesday 11th October, apart froma massive THANK YOU to an amazing team.I had three dogs with me last night, Lili who just wanted to stay and kiss the vet Michele and Avril, Maddie who suffers with anxiety badly and Milo who is so nervous he starts whining as soon as I pull on the car park.Luckily because Avril who is just so super amazing a real credit to your practice knows my dogs well she was on hand to help. What a superstar vet Michele is, her patience is above and beyond and I couldn’t thank her enough for the way she dealt with each dog especially Milo when it took myself and Avril to hold the little bucking kangaroo he was.I also want to say a massive THANK YOU to the amazing Male Vet (very tall) apologies didn’t get your name who dealt with Milo’s eye injury recently, again so considerate to Milo. Finally to Emma, THANK YOU for letting me out the back way for the safety of my dogs when i asked if possible. Milo just wanted to go and trust me he didn’t stop pulling me until he had jumped into his car seat. He’s definitely the little monkey of the group.Due to the amazing team of Vets and Veterinary Nurses you employ at St. Georges a big heart felt THANK YOU for everything they do, ONE TRULY AMAZING TEAM YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF. They are all a true credit to your company.

The staff are lovely at this surgery and my cat copes so well when she sees Andrew, as he is the most calming vet we have ever met. It has always been easy to get appointments at suitable times and they are fantastic when it comes to emergencies. They do charge a lot for medication, so I buy my cat's long term medication online, but it's a shame the vets also charge a lot for the written prescription needed to do this (over £11). Overall though, I highly recommend this surgery - I won't be going anywhere else.UPDATE: when my cat recently passed away the staff were wonderful with the procedures and arrangements, making the sad time as easy as possible. They were compassionate and didn’t ask for payment on the day - this was done when collecting the ashes. We even received a lovely hand written card from Andrew, which made us smile at a sad time. I love this surgery and will return if I have another pet in the future.

This practice has seriously deteriorated this past year. The different receptionists have never had very good customer service skills but the vets especially Andrew were always good and that’s what mattered my animals received good care. Since his retirement and in particular this past year, because Lockwoods haven’t been able to recruit new vets it has been a shambles. It took over 6 weeks to be able to get my dogs booked in for there annual vaccinations due to lack of appointments, I kept having to call back each week, my one dog should have a monthly injection for arthritis the surgery cancelled the last appointment for 30th June and I’ve not been able to get one since. I have been trying to get an appointment since Friday as my dog is struggling to walk and was told because they have no vets it’s now closed Fridays and Wednesdays unless they can get cover. You have to call on the day at 8am to obtain an emergency appointment I was only told this yesterday when I called at 9.10am they were unable to help and I was to call back at 8am. Today at 8.10 I called as I was unable to get through beforehand and there was apparently one appointment left. I questioned this and we’re told they only had 3 emergency appointments for the whole day. I have tried to gain clarity as I want the best possible care for my animals who are family members like most peoples pets and because of my questions I was told the call was been terminated. I never raised my voice, swore or anything and I’m happy for anyone to listen to that call. The recruitment of Lockwoods should not impact the welfare of animals it is supposed to be caring for and when the receptionist Avril said it wasn’t her problem that said it all for me. I have now registered with a new vet and already the service received highlighted again just how poor the service at St George’s was. The front of house team would benefit greatly from a customer service course. I can’t see this practice been around for long it’s clear to see it’s falling apart. If any manager would like to contact me to discuss further then your welcome to.

The treatment my cat receives here is great. The vets always give her lots of cuddles to make her feel less afraid and are super quick with their treatment. They are always polite and explain everything to me in a way I understand. I would highly recommend.

Had to take my poorly 12 year fluffy pooch into these vets last night and they were great the staff were all so gentle and caring and the experience as a dog owner well i couldnt be more happier. Thank you to you all. Back to these vets to have my cats attended too and again super happy with the care and the gentle and warmth they gave. If there was more than 5 stars I'd give them all. Thank you again.

They were extremely kind and sensitive when I took my other dog to them as an emergency and after he passed away they sent me a lovely card. They were so friendly and reassuring when I took my new puppy to them for his vaccination and explained everything to me. I would recommend them to anyone.
