Great honest garage. Craig and Oliver where very friendly and could not be more helpful. They explained everything so that I understood. Would recommend to anyone that has a clutch or gearbox problem. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Thank you very much.

This review is well overdue.Third time I’ve contacted Craig regarding gearbox issues (I’m in the motor trade), and third time his services and advice have been 100% spot on.The first time I contacted Craig was around a year ago when I took in a P/X with a faulty DSG gearbox- I called Nottingham clutch and gearbox specialist , Craig answered and he gave me a fair bit of his time selflessly I shared the error codes and symptoms although at the time this was not something they dealt with, he pointed me in the right direction with it being a mechatronic issue. The mech unit was reconditioned and vehicle was on road driving as should , I told Craig I’d be in touch again soon.A few months later a family member lost control of one of my cars-Seat Leon FR DSG on black ice and collided into a round about- the impact caused the drive shaft to smash a hole through the gearbox- following all other repairs the car was transported to Nottingham clutch and gearbox specialist LTD- Oliver (another fantastic team member) examined the vehicle and confirmed the gearbox housing had cracked and a chunk was missing, needless to say I presumed it would be an entire gearbox replacement,however, I received a call back from Oliver, to my delight the gearbox components were intact and just the housing needed replacing, being in the motor trade myself I can not emphasise on how grand and honest this was of Craig and his team, eventually I paid less than half the original quote and left with car running brilliantly through all gears.Unfortunately my BMW 330D F30 developed a transmission related fault recently, as you would expect I got the car recovered straight to Craig’s garage - following inspection I was given the option to examine and recondition my existing gearbox or alternatively replace the gearbox. I opted to have a complete transmission replacement and on this occasion it was Oliver - Ollie who dealt with my BMW. I collected the car within a week of them receiving my replacement gearbox & as I expected, my car is driving like a dream, gliding through all gears and feels better than it ever had done before - I was given a fair quote and the job was completed to a high standard using manufacturers recommended Parts & oils.To summarise, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nottingham clutch and gearbox specialist, the quality of work is amazing and the customer service is second to none.Thank you Chaps ! ,MD

I contacted Nottingham Clutch and gearbox after my automatic Ford fiesta was displaying an engine fault on my dashboard. I had been advised it could be costly so was expecting the worse. Craig was clear from the beginning explaining the different scenarios and the prices, he kept me updated on the situation and thankfully I received a call to state a diagnostic had been performed on my car to ensure what I had previously been advised to me was correct, Oliver had cleared the codes and the engine light was no longer displayed, he had run the car and it did not come on. He wanted me to get the car and hopefully the problem was now cleared without the expected costs of £1000 plus, I want to thank the garage for their professionalism and genuine care and customer service, they are brilliant and I would highly recommend, thank you

Can’t recommend enough!Called for a quote for a new clutch on my horse box and got the price over the phone there and then. I booked in for the following week and the work was carried out the same day.After other experiences at garages and them having to keep the vehicle for days, not knowing what the price would be for the job it was refreshing to get a straightforward and efficient service.We’re back on the road and the work was really competitively priced. I had a problem selecting reverse gear in my van.Craig & Oliver couldn’t have been any more helpful. They diagnosed the problem almost immediately and ruled out the need for an entire new gearbox (something that two garages I’d visited earlier in the week suggested as the necessary remedy).They clearly know their way around a gearbox and I would recommend anyone with a gearbox issue to call them. It’s not just because they fixed my vans problem. They also turned the job around super quick, & literally saved me £2-3k. They are professional, friendly & do a quality job. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We took our Nissan Pickup for a brand new clutch and fly wheel. Oliver the on site technician was very polite and gave us a quote very promptly. All work was completed to a high standard and within time. The lubricant was amazing! The sale was frictionless would highly recommend.

So glad that I found this place!!I had been to a number of different garages including the main dealer and after getting quotes for thousands of pounds for a new gearbox, I went and saw Ollie and Craig. They were both very friendly and easy to talk to. They diagnosed the problem very quickly and found out that it was only a sensor causing the problem. So no need for a new gearbox! Walked away with my car fixed and a couple of hundred pound bill. Cannot recommend enough. Will defiantly be back if I ever need them.Thank you again.

I can't recommend Craig highly enough! Had an issue with my wife's automatic Mini Cooper convertible and Craig talked through the problem with me over the phone and quickly advised that it would be a waste of time and money to investigate, as was clearly broken. He was open and honest throughout and as soon as I found a replacement gearbox, he booked me in and did a great job, even protecting the aircon, so it didn't need re-gassing afterwards. Customer service was exceptional throughout. A real example of a truly decent human being! Thank you!

I can’t fault Craig and his protege Oli enough. I broke down at the Tesco Petrol station on the way to work just opposite Craig’s workshop and limped the van in, in desperation. He took the van at extremely short notice and it was ready to collect the following day so I could get back to work. I can’t thank Craig enough for his unexpectedly fast and outstanding service. You don’t need to look anywhere else and I’m taking my pickup here next month for its clutch and flywheel.

Quick to answer the telephone and I was given a thorough run down of faults and work completed. Very helpful member of staff also at collection - again professional, courteous and aware of job having been done. Will definitely use again or refer to anyone wanting automatic gearbox repair. Had been without a car for 2 months prior to this company having had the car, so delighted to get the vehicle back within a week!
