Lovely welcome from the bar staff straight off. A cracking selection of craft beers on both tap and canned/bottled. Quite a small place so fills quickly but great atmosphere and not long before you'll find a seat and settle in to some beery goodness. Will make a beeline here on our next visit to Newcastle.

Great little Bar with a fantastic selection of beers, ales IPAs.Perfect for a pre drink before heading to shows at the City Hall. Much better than Weatherspoons next door!

Love this micro pub, always has a few proper ciders on. Friendly welcome. Easy to miss if you didn’t know it was there as it’s hidden away down some steps. Highly recommended for the real ale and cider drinker

Wonderful, tiny basement pub in Newcastle's city centre. Escape the cold and head down the steps to be met by a warm welcome. Cask and keg selection are both absolutely spot on. Beer is very well conditioned. For a beer lover, this is a must-visit on any trip to Newcastle.

Proper beer pub and really seem to appreciate drinking beer. Music wasn't to our taste.Certainly a welcome spot on a wet night.

Visited yesterday with Boyfriend and Brother. Absolutely loved it, small and perfect (just like me haha) the staff we so warm, welcoming and friendly. Offered interesting ales to try, we went with a one barman recommended and it was superb. Very refreshing, light fruity and crisp. An amazing array of cans with intriguing flavour combinations. There's not many seats and can get crowded very quickly. Decor is quirky and interesting. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Had a good chat with barman and a few other customers. Would be happy to go there alone. Highly recommended.

Haven't been in for ages, but still as good as I remember, great choice of beers and the friends who I was with were a little bamboozled with the variety of drinks, however the barman was great and there were well impressed with his recommendations

The best craft beer bar in the North East. Excellent sausage rolls (vegan and carnivorous) from Pink Lane bakery.
