Visited in August when there was a reduced menu. The food we were served was all lovel and very generous portions. A bit pricey and waiter (appeared to be new and learning) serving us added several extra drinks onto our bill that we hadn't ordered or received. Quickly resolved by the manager who was friendly and professional, but worth keeping an eye on for others.

This pub always has a welcoming and positive vibe. This evening, we decided to try the tapas menu and can say without doubt it was consistently the most enjoyable and varied tapas we’ve had in years! Congratulations to Martin the Chef, and the staff who always make the experience so enjoyable. The Madri was tip top and despite hoping to get a taste of my wife’s dessert (not a euphemism) she managed to polish it off whilst I wrote this review!!!

We went for a family meal. We ordered a kids meal, with mash. The mash was very literally one teaspoon full. Generally the portions are too small here, but as an adult I get the whole minimalistic food thing but come on, doing it on a kids meal? That takes the utter utter mick.We weren't asked if we wanted any sauces, was everything ok. Food just placed in front of us and staff walked off, I do not expect to get out my seat mid meal to ask for basic things. Kids never got their ice creams either.I've found this venue very unaccomdating for kids in the past, I wont be visiting again.

Had a sunday lunch. It was massive. It was too big for me . Maybe some people would like it to me it was ridiculous. I really liked the meat, potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The veg was a bit cold so put me off, and there was a weeks worth of veg on my plate. The cauliflower cheese bought separately was delicious, loved it. Id go back and order less veg.

Had the all you can eat tapas here tonight and can honestly say it was delicious! We had every dish on the menu and there wasn’t a bad one among them. Best restaurant in Selby by a country mile, highly recommended

Visited this local eatery for Sunday lunch. Interior a little dark for me but a warm welcome from staff. Thankfully no TV and no blaring music, so ideal to chat. The portion size is massive and suggested serving smaller sizes and causing less waste. Meat and loads of fresh vegetables made it a good and honest meal. No room for deserts and no idea on how good they are. Good and fair price for a Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Right in centre of Selby town.

Food was excellent! Lots of flavour and great value for money. I would highly recommend to anyone.Staff are nice and attentive - would benefit from having a front of house leader.Also few candles or (tropical) artificial green plants would elevate the decor.Overall nice experience and definitely will return soon.

We have been here twice to eat and twice unable to have our first choice due to meals being unavailable, we thought the first time was maybe it was an 'off' day and wanted to give them another try.The coffee was made from what would appear to be sachets as there were lumps of it floating on top and it wasnt a great taste.The staff were great and very polite.I'm afraid we agreed, won't be eating here again. Other pubs are priced around the same but have the produce and proper coffee.

First time coming here and booked in for the tapas night. Top service from the staff, very welcoming and friendly. Food was great! Tried a variety of dishes and all were really fresh and yummy (sticky beef cheek and calamari were our favourites). Would definitely recommend!
