We had high hopes for this place as we love Monsieur Crepe in Heaton and it was great news to find out we have Galettes local to us. Unfortunately I don't think we'll return. We were a family of 3 and there were only 2 other customers in whilst there. We ordered a cappuccino and a latte, both were in the same style cup and tasted exactly the same - lattes. We had the chefs special Galette and a pastry. The food took over 45 minutes to arrive despite there being no other customers and it was pretty bland. There were 2 customers at the serving hatch but it just seemed an excessive wait. The waitress had no enthusiasm and was not at all welcoming. Probably should have walked out then.

Gorgeous galettes and very authentic too! I really felt like I was eating at a small bistro in Brittany. A really nice place to spend a Sunday afternoon and the prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food. My galette was stuffed with ingredients. I particularly loved the French soundtrack and wall art. The staff were friendly too :)I really hope this local business goes from strength to strength because independent cafes add something unique and a charm to Whitley Bay, which can comes across as over-commercialised and a little run-down compared to Tynemouth. A little taste of the continent on the North Eastern coast.Merci beaucoup!

Friendly French welcome. Service is good. Lovely food. My son loves to come here for Nutella pancakes, but they have plenty of savoury options too. Interior is nicely decorated, but the music was a bit too loud for us.

Crepes were lovely, although too big. Maybes offer smaller versions too. Coffee was not nice, not barista standards.

Super fast service!Lovely food!Wide variety of choices from the menu!Sat outside on a lovely day at the coast, chairs were a little fragile and wobbley. But it was so worth it!
