Great Afternoon at a fabulous historical Theatre! Views are good where ever you sit! The production 2:22 Ghost Story was excellent!! Thoroughly recommend!

A 'proper' theatre with lots of charm and character. Really friendly and helpful staff. A bonus is that you can order your interval drinks from your seat and they get brought to you!

It is surprisingly large inside and the second circle is well tiered. There are a lot of pillars that can impact on sightlines depending on where you sit.

This is a fantastic theatre. Very old and quirky. Wherever you sit, you're never too far away from the stage. My one recommendation would be to try to get some cooling in. It was extremely hot when we were there the other night.

We visited the Brighton Theatre Royal to see Everybody’s Talking About Jamie in November 2023. The venue is a beautiful classic theatre, and they are clearly looking after it well. Our seats were great, and very comfortable - which is important when you’re sat on them for 3 or so hours! We had a couple of drinks from the bar during our visit and it was reasonably priced for a theatre. The service was very friendly, and both the bar staff that served us were lovely and engaging. The show itself was amazing, filled with great sets, fantastic actors (as well as a few famous faces) and some show-stopping songs. It was heartbreaking, heartwarming and funny in equal measure. If you get a chance, make sure you go and see Everybody’s Talking About Jamie - it’s an absolute triumph!

Have visited a couple of times now and always enjoyed it. The theatre is kept clean and tidy, staff always friendly and helpful. Can be quite steep the higher you go up so make sure to take suitable footwear for the stair climb. Prices on drinks are expensive which is the only thing that loses it a star other than that a great place to go.

Saw Enfield Haunting at the Theatre Royal last night & loved it. The Theatre is so lovely. So much history. Shows great plays, often before they go to the West End. Friendly staff, good deals on tickets with drinks. And it’s local..

Great theatre but had our view obstructed and show spoilt on Sunday night by the people directly in front of us in the stalls standing for most of Some Guys Have all the Luck. Everyone had been encouraged to stand up and dance as long as they weren’t obstructing anyones view and if so to move to the aisles which a lot of people did but the row in front had obviously had a lot to drink and didn’t care. A woman a few seats along from us was also heckling and annoying the people next to us who also left early when we did because of her and the fact that they couldn’t see anything either. We could’ve also stood to see but didn’t want to obstruct the view of those behind us so we couldn’t win.It would be helpful if ushers were inside the theatre to sort problems like this- £63 down the drain not to mention parking expenses and coming out in torrential rain on a Sunday evening to see a show we’d been waiting for for months (what we saw of it was great by the way). So disappointed. The photo below shows what great seats we had- had the people in front not obstructed the view.
