I’ve suffered with severe menstrual pain for many years and after a recent diagnosis of endometriosis a friend recommended I see Jill.After just a few sessions I’m already seeing a reduction in pain which I never thought possible and this has had a huge impact on my quality of life. I've been having acupuncture with Julie Kelham since 2017 and she's managed to transform my health! I had irregular periods, bad period pains, stomach problems and I wasn't even sure if I was ovulating. After a few sessions I immediately saw results. During stressful periods a session with Julie would always help to balance me out and improve my hormones, sleep and digestion. She also gave me some really helpful diet and lifestyle advice to support. I had acupuncture throughout my pregnancy last year to help with nausea, sciatica and work stress which really helped. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 lockdown, I was unable to have pre labour acupuncture but I had a Zoom video appointment which was incredible. I was 11 days overdue and had been dealing with anxiety around the birth mainly due to the lockdown! She recommended some acupressure points to help get me in the right place mentally and to help to prepare my body for giving birth. She also talked my husband through some acupressure points to perform on me during labour to relieve pain and to help with energy and I can honestly say it works with pain relief! I didn't have any other pain relief so it was magic and really did reduce the pain! I have now just had a post natal appointment to help with my recovery and energy where she gave me some new acupressure points to focus on. These video appointments have been invaluable (despite my initial skepticism!) I would thoroughly recommend Julie for all fertility and female health issues (and stress and sleep issues too!). I can't thank her enough for what she's done for me.

I’ve had various treatments here and always had a positive experience. Most notably I had acupuncture for about a year with Julie Kelham for fertility and also through my IVF treatment and first trimester. I now have a healthy, happy 10-week old baby and I’m sure the treatments and Chinese herbs made a big difference.Julie is a warm, empathic, compassionate and skilled therapist and I wholeheartedly recommend her.

I have seen Julie fairly regularly since September 2018 and would highly recommend. She is always very professional, friendly and a very good listener! I always feel relaxed and like a huge weight has been lifted when I leave the session. Julie is very knowledgeable about fertility, and I honestly believe that she is one of the main reasons why I finally managed to become pregnant naturally after 3 failed IVF cycles. I have been diagnosed with Endometriosis & a Hydrosalpinx. I have never been one to go down the route of 'herbal, holistic' methods and have always opted for the more traditional route of GP's and medication to treat illness. HOWEVER, what can I say - having visited Jill and started a course of Chinese herbs & accupuncture, I can 100% say it's been worth it ! The specially selected herbs are subtle and work well with my body and these, coupled with regular accupuncture have made me feel amazing. I feel better emotionally and physically and feel more confident that I will not be undergoing any further surgery to resolve my issues. Was I scared and unsure - yes, but I am in such a better place now I'm so glad I took this step. Thank you Jill for looking after me !

I have been seeing Jill for a few months for acupuncture and herbal medicine and she has been an absolute life line during lockdown, helping me feel in control of my own health after a series of rather disastrous GP appointments for PCOS. During lockdown, I've been having regular phone appointments with Jill and I really look forward to them - she is professional and incredibly knowledgeable as well as friendly, funny and reassuring.Despite all the stresses of lockdown, I am definitely feeling better taking the Chinese herbs and following the wonderful advice provided. I contacted Jill after struggling to conceive due to PCOS. Jill is amazing at her job and very knowledgeable. Infact, I believe she helped me conceive after I had been trying for 2 years. Jill also provides support tablets/herbs to suit your needs, I really do think they helped me get to the safe zone of 12 weeks. Not only has Jill helped me conceive, but she has also checked up on me during my pregnancy! Highly recommend, Will definitely be returning and especially when I’m ready to conceive number 2!! I can highly recommend acupuncture with Julie Kelham at the Alma Vale Centre. I began having acupuncture with Julie several years ago as I was suffering with chronic pain in my neck and shoulders. Not only has it helped my pain condition enormously but regular acupuncture has become for me an essential part of maintaining my wellbeing. Every winter I used to suffer colds and viruses but after focusing on this issue with Julie I rarely succumb nowadays and I feel my overall health is so much better supported with regular acupuncture. Julie always assesses all aspects of my physical and mental wellbeing and every session feels very personal and is tailored to my current needs. I would strongly recommend both Acupuncture and the Alma Vale Centre which is an excellent environment for holistic care.

I came to see Jill as my partner and I were trying to conceive, however my endometriosis and PCOS were making my cycles irregular. Jill was fantastic at providing a holistic treatment of acupuncture and Chinese herbs which instantly had an effect in rebalancing my hormones. Using natural methods of tracking my cycle, we were able to analyse my results and accurately predict when I was ovulating. I had 3 sessions with Jill (over 6 weeks) before falling pregnant! Jill was always very patient and empathetic when supporting me through my pregnancy journey and we have been in touch since my last treatment where she has continued to offer support and advice.
