Fantastic little pub. Family friendly and dog friendly with an unparalleled choice of beers for a quiet neighbourhood. Brilliant atmosphere and a really sizeable beer garden and car park. I'd recommend it to anyone, really warm, welcoming new owners who will make a continued success of the business I'm sure.

Without doubt, the quintessential English pub, great real ales, fresh rolls and a good selection of savoury pub snacks. Live music, but not too loud, families, couples, all ages. Love it.

The Unicorn…… or should I deem it…. The “New” Unicorn. What a pleasant surprise in store for any patron who steps inside this quality hostelry. Service is at the centre of the customer experience. This goes hand-in-hand with a top quality range of beers to suit all tastes…. and the new tenants certainly know how to both pull and present their beers. The large cobs on offer are like enjoying a meal. This couple have all the ingredients to make a success and I personally wish them well with their new business venture…..

Landlord didn't wash his hands after having a wee. When I told another customer I got barred. I was not horrible to anyone. I did tell the landlord I made a pre misconception that he was gay because of his false painted nails. And I apologised to him to his face. He was okay with my apology. I was never horrible or rude to any staff or customers. The landlord took a wee n walked out of the toilet. Did I see him washing his hands at the staff wash point? No because I was washing my hands in the toilet like everybody does. I had to open the toilet door after washing my hands after a guy that didn't wash his hands. I have several witnesses who will vouch I wasn't abusive or anything of that like the landlady has stated. She got one on her and barred me. Absolutely not on or accurate. Basic hygiene isn't a lot to ask especially from a member of staff. If they can't set a example who can.Making me out to be homophobic and abusive is completely wrong. But it's a great way to disregard my review.

My disabled wife and I have visited The Unicorn twice since it has reopened . Both times we have really been impressed by the quality of the dark guest real ale ales we have sampled ( Three Tuns Stout and Titanic Cherry Porter) and great value price (£3.80 a pint) .The pub has been very lively on both our visits with a disco in the bar on a Saturday night visit and parties for Wedding and Birthday groups on our midweek visit . The Unicorn seems to be the social centre of Little Dawley and is thriving under its new management. It must very difficult to risk opening a new pub business in these times but this seems to be going very welll.
