LPD Doors

Ordered 2 Bespoke doors and 1 Standard size door. All engineered oak. The standard door I had replaced 4 times until I got one that wasn’t damaged. This took a fight to be able to do this as they have a 48 hour damage policy. That is a 48hours once it’s delivered to the builders merchants. Impossible to check the doors and get delivered within this time period. The doors were packaged terrible and the corners not protected. Even the 4th door I received was damaged but I just had to accept it. The bespoke doors had damage to the face of the door but were protected amazingly on the corners. The company had no consistency and ignored the emails sent about the damage to the door, they just don’t care. I ordered 9 concealed hinges also. I fitted 6 them and decided they weren’t worth the trouble so asked if I could return one pack of the hinges I had left over. It took 4 months for the bespoke doors to turn up, the hinges were delivered after around a month and the doors later on. They emailed to say their return policy was 30 days. It took 4 months for delivery. Seriously …. It took 2 months to have the other door replaced 4 times. How can I return a hinge in 30 days if it takes 4 months to even get the doors. The doors are great quality and solid door but the company is just a nightmare to deal with. Use with caution and frustration.

We came across the website whilst looking for Oak internal doors and found the Mexicano oak door. We bought five of various sizes for the hallway in our bungalow everyone commented on how much of a difference this had made to the look of the hallway. So i ordered a rebated pair for the Kitchen to hallway and oh my god they look great. Opened up the area and made it look bright and airy. The etching to the glass brings out the doors but at the same time allows the light through. we are so happy with the results i need to buy another for the hall to vestibule area as this will bring the light in from the front. our hallway is so bright and opened up a treat. We simply covered them in Danish oil and wow they have come alive, the grain looks so nice. I can only say thank you to LPD shame they do not deal direct with the public as having to go through a third party like builders merchants can. be a pain, especially when its LPD that make them and deliver them. Thank you to the guys and girls that make these doors worth every penny

I have purchased a door through Jewsons and the door came bent from the manufacturer,unfortunattely i have seen the defect only after i installed it as it look straight,the LPD response was basically just buy another door and wont help me,wasted money for cheap quality,might aswell just go to wickes or b&q,at least they have a proper customer service. My advice buy a proper door from somewhere else stay away from these scammers,10 year warranty and it doesnt even last a day,you get what you pay forEdit 03.11.2023I have told jewsons to tell you that i am building an extension where that door is so in effect it becomes an internal door DOESNT IT???Should i buy an external door to then buy an internal door when i finished the extension??And what are you saying has nothing to do with the fact that the door arrived bent you lame scammers,you are robbing people of money legally for cheap chinese doors. Refusal to provide the minimum legal requirement of a replacement for very faulty goods. Very poor quality product and shocked at the appalling customer services when (very politely) reporting the faults.After 15 e-mails with their supplier and distributor and having provided photos with very clear evidence, LPD Doors has refused to replace the faulty goods. This included specific responses to queries regarding the type of paint applied - not only did we specifically check this prior to ordering but we specifically purchased the EXACT paint specification advised. We even noted that we had ordered three doors - all three delivered, treated, stored and fitted in the same way at the same time - yet two are faulty and one is fine.The goods were part of a much larger order with matching products, some of which is already fitted, so the replacement costs are huge and we now have to progress legal proceedings via the courts.As you'll no doubt see with their response - they'll not meet their minimum legal requirement to replace faulty products. Do not buy anything from these guys if you don't want to risk getting products that are not fit for purpose with a warranty not worth the paper its written on.

Absolute Rubbish. I bought a 6 Panel Oak Door. Went for the Mortice and Tennon version as it was going to be an external door. Paid £200 through Jewsons. The Mortice joints may well have been cut using an axe. No precision and none of the pegs were straight. LPD not interested and said I had to speak to supplier - Jewsons equally not interested.

Bought a LPD external door from deals 4 doors. The venner peeled up within days of being hung. They ask for lots of information but do nothing, tried to blame the paint company, despite ne using very good external quality paints and them giving no lists of oroducts not to use. The door is total garbage, do not buy from these its robberery..

Purchased two oak solid core LPD doors recently. Good doors, great condition

Bought an oak fire door glazed. All the nail holes are showing through around the glass frames. Poor quality control and workmanship.

Ordered two doors . Had to wait weeks as there was a mix up with order going from Selco and not being received by LPD. LPD made no attempt to expeidiate but I said I would wait. When the doors arrived they were out of square and would have needed substantial alteration by my carpenter and a repaint. I offered to keep them for a discount but they refused. So after all that they just go back and I get refunded. What a waste of time.

Having read through a number of reviews on here it seems I am not the only one with problems that will end up costing me a fortune. We ordered over three thousand pounds worth of internal doors including a set of bi-folds, when the carpenter got here to fit them there was a part missing meaning we are left with a gaping hole which cannot be filled until they condescend to provide the missing part. When calling them I was told that they will get the warehouse to take a look THE FOLLOWING WEEK! It is now several weeks later and still no part. Do yourself a favour and buy from someone else and check with your retailer that they are not ordering from LPD. Doors of Distinction who we initially ordered from have been very very helpful trying to source the part from a different supplier as it seems LDP doors are cowboys.
