Working as a visiting contractor from outside an area it can be difficult to ensure the correct materials are available and delivered on time. This is where the Pollokshaws Road staff should be most lauded. During several phone calls, I spoke with various members of the branch who always answered the phone promptly and courteously. David was the 1st person I spoke to, who set the tone for the quality of service to be provided. Not many suppliers will ask whether you also want to hire tools along with materials and this proactive approach is very beneficial, especially when you know it's being offered to you as an out-of-area contractor. After the usual rigmarole of trying by myself to find a reputable skip company, this was handled most efficiently by Paul who took my exact requirements and was calling me back after an hour to confirm my skip was fully booked. By the time we arrived on site the skip was already there. Lee the Travis delivery driver was very punctual and friendly and gave us time to position materials in the best place. When we went back to the yard for loose materials the foreman was moving the pallets to the van before we could open the door. I also spoke with Mal & Martin over the phone and counter who were very cheerful. We use Travis and other suppliers every week all over the UK and I know it takes hard work to always provide such a good service, especially in these difficult times with family & wellbeing stretched to the limits. Good service can only come from a happy and well run team and this is definitely the case at Pollokshaws Road. I wish every TP and other building merchants was the same. Well done and Thank You! Previously had a good experience at this branch (with the hire team). I called to ask about price matching other retailers. I hadn't gotten to the point of saying what the item was but the chap said, no. As the items aren't 'like for like'. I was trying to get a price match on Blue Circle Postcrete. Travis Perkins were near to double the cost compared to Kingfisher PLC... It was a very strange (and very short) phone call to be honest... I think I got through to someone on retail because when you call hire, they're much more willing to work with you and are pleasant. I'll need to use Jewsons or TradePoint now...

Great service on a Saturday morning.Cheery Tony in the yard dealing with busy tradespeople all wanting their order seen to pronto.Great store indoors. Displays well stocked. Very helpful counter staff too.Definitely worth the diversions in place trying to get back on M8 (E)

The employees in both the store and the tool hire department were very pleasant and helpful. They probably don't get many women wanting to fix their own drive but they couldn't have been more supportive, answering all my newbie questions

The staff outside know their stuff and are quite efficient. Inside the guys at the cash couldn't be more helpful. Would recommend this place to all.

I have been using this depot for several years now. The staff are always very helpful and have a real desire to be as much assistance as possible. Plant and equipment in good condition at a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone.
